Turk's POV

Turk snapped himself back into reality. He was on a boat in the middle of the ocean on the way to the same island that his uncle Riptide had gone to a long time ago. A large group of different people stared at him and Remedy from their seats. Everyone eventually went back to their conversations.
"I had that dream again..." Turk sighed.
"Is it the one where uncle Riptide is leaving us?" Remedy asked.
"Yeah."
"I have that one too sometimes. I never really liked our parents."
"To think that dad wanted me to continue the family business. As good as I am at it and as much as I like wearing the clothes for it, I don't want to catch fish for a living. I was pretty devastated when they were killed in that car crash though."
"I still kinda miss them. I don't know why."
"I feel guilty that we're fighting Riptide and Shadow."
"But we signed up for Ghost and we're doing fine. I got my dream of being a doctor, or a medic as they call me, and you're gonna be on the battlefield, so that's cool."
Remedy nudged him encouragingly and Turk smiled. He realised that he was all sweaty from having the nightmare. He turned to Remedy.
"I'm a bit hot. I'm gonna gave a shower. See you in a bit." Turk stood up.
"OK. I'll be here, probably playing Candy Crush or scanning through Wattpad or something." Remedy waved.
Turk walked over to the small bathroom at the back of the boat and started to strip down so he could have a shower. He got in there, washed himself and got out. He wrapped a towel around his lower half and then bought out a comb to make sure his hair was fine. Suddenly, the door opened and a woman with bright pink hair stood there.
"Oh my god..." she blushed.
"I-I'm so sorry!" Turk ran over as he realised he forgot to lock the door.
The woman left before he could say anything else. Turk locked the door and silently hated himself for being so stupid. He dressed and then took his seat next to Remedy again.
"What were you doing in there?" Remedy laughed, "That woman screamed so loudly when she saw you."
"Shut up." Turk blushed.
Turk was annoyed when Remedy kept on laughing, taking the mick our of Turk's stupidity. Turk felt really embarrassed, but he also felt bad for the woman who had to see him in there. He decided that he had to find her when they arrived to apologize.
"I don't think we'll get there for another couple hours, so you might want to go back to sleep." Remedy looked out of the window.
"I'm not tired." Turk mumbled.
"Sure you aren't!"
"I am, but I need to memorize this map of the base we're being sent to, you know, so I don't get lost."
"You're not like that. I know you."
"Fine. I'm worried. About fighting Riptide. About people accepting me. About... everything."
"It'll be fine."
"You sure."
"Hey, I can't promise anything, but yeah I think it'll be fine."
"Thanks."
Remedy nodded off. Turk stayed awake a little longer. He hadn't even mentioned that he felt bad for the woman with the pink hair. He felt that he needed to apologize urgently. He couldn't get over how bad he felt. He eventually forced himself to go to sleep.
He was awoken by the sound of a loud horn and the sound of the leader of the group's voice, an experienced agent, Brutus, the next morning. Remedy seemed to have been awake for a while, because she had just looked up from her phone.
"Brutus speaking. We have almost arrived. When we land on the edge, we move quickly and quietly to a small metal base nearby an area known as Holly Hedges." Brutus announced.
"Yes, sir." everyone replied in unison.
"OK then. Prepare your stuff, we're leaving soon."
The intercom switched off and Turk rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He turned to Remedy, who had just switched off her phone.
"That was loud." Turk groaned.
"You're so cute when you're asleep." Remedy joked.
"Shut up."
"Here's your stuff."
"Thanks."
"I'm excited, are you?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Then let's go. We don't want to keep anyone waiting."
"Right. I'm going to check if I've dropped anything and then I'll join you."
"OK, see ya!"
"See you in a minute."

To be continued...
