Langston and Miara were leaving the doctors office, after her appointment. Turns out that Miara was exactly two months pregnant. Even though he was nowhere near ready for another child, Langston would man up and take care of his responsibilities as a man and a father. Now the only thing he had to do was tell his family that she was pregnant.
He didn't know how anyone would react to her the news; that alone had him ready to shit his pants. Most of all, Langston was afraid of what Lianna's reaction would be.
"You hungry?" He asked once they were in the car.
"I could eat."
He chose the nearest restaurant, to eat at. Their lunch had to be quick because Langston had a business meeting at his clothing store. Once they were seated, Miara decided to ask the question that's been heavy on her mind since finding out she was pregnant.
"When are you telling your family?"
Langston looked around before making eye contact with her.
"Soon." He replied.
She scoffed, here she was trying to make conversation with him, and he was being dry towards her. It wasn't her fault that she ended up getting knocked up.
"Are you okay?"
He nodded his head. "Yea."
"How do you think your daughters mother is going to react?" She asked, drinking her water.
Langston sighed just at the thought of Lianna. "She ain't gon' be happy, that's for damn sure."
Miara wanted to have a sit down with Lianna; since they would be around each other for the next eighteen years.
"Hey, do you think she would be willing to have a conversation with me?"
He chuckled. It would be a cold day in hell, before she would agree to sit down with Miara.
"It'll take a lot of convincing. But I'll try." He promised.
"That's fair."
The couple hadn't been on a date in a long time, so this time she got to spend with him; made Miara happy.
