Rise of The Guardians AU
Pitch never came back
Jack never became a guardianJack wandered around, acting like a lost soul. He'd just finished his round in the Northern hemisphere, bringing snow and joy to the children; he didn't bother staying long to play, no one saw him. He travelled towards the dark side of the world at that time, in hopes of catching the sandman. He wanted to see Sandy, just to say hi and hope that he noticed him, making sure he wasn't just a ghost invisible to all.
The golden dreams wrapped around the various houses, lighting up the alleys;Jack followed them leading him to a massive golden cloud.
"Sandman," he cried out. A short golden lump poked it's head over the cloud and smiled. The golden lump formed a hat on it's head and nodded formally.
"Are you the sandman?" Jack asked, the golden figure nodded with a smile and went back to work. Jack was eager to talk, he flew upwards and landed on the cloud.
"How are you Sandy?" He asked, Sandman turned to Jack and made little symbols above his head.
"You don't talk huh?" Jack had knelt down to his height. Sandman shook his head. The day threatening to dawn, sandman symbolised farewell and left Jack to wander again.
Sandy travelled towards the North Pole in his dream sand plane. He needed to show North who he'd seen. For a few years The Guardians had thought Jack Frost to be long gone, only because of the pure fact he hadn't stepped up to his duties, and they'd assumed the natural weather brought snow. Sandy raced towards Norths office gracefully, knocking on his door.
"Sandy!" North boomed patting him on the back. They head into the workshop, Tooth following him from his office. Sandy symbolised Jack being there,
"This is excellent," North muttered, "but why hasn't he visited,"
"Probably couldn't get past the yetis," Tooth suggested and North nodded. Sandy symbolised something,
"What are you saying Sandy? Of course he knows, anyway I'll- go talk to him. I'm bound to find him behind some snow," Tooth smiled. She flew out the window and headed to a place she knew had a lot of fun snowball fights- Burgess.
Tooth shivers slightly as the cold air kissed her wings and feathers, she kept as hidden as possible in the light but listened for the laughter of children. Soon enough she heard that of children and a slightly older detached person. She flew as close as she could, calling out his name, his head snapped round. Jack flew up to her beckoned call.
"Tooth," he greeted,
"Come with me," she started to fly off,
"Wait what?" He stopped following her, "Where are we going Tooth?"
"The Tooth Palace,"she smiled opening a portal, pulling Jack through it. They arrived in the palace, Tooth gracefully, Jack tumbling on the floor.
"Why are we even here? Not to be rude but thanks for the ride how do I get home?" Jack grumbled, rubbing his head.
"A day will come Jack, where you are needed,-"
"And it hasn't come yet in over 300 years?" He mumbled,
"Pay attention, anyway, you do know why you are here, Jack?" He pondered looking around then down at the ground, giving a sigh.
"I don't know, the moon hasn't said anything to me other than my name," he looked up at her.
She chuckled slightly, putting him in a grump, "You shouldn't need the moon Jack, we are all here for a reason, The Guardians. North for wonder, Sandy for dreams and I for memories, don't you remember who you were before you became-"
"I've always been Jack Frost," he says sternly, pain hiding behind his eyes,
"You haven't, Mr Overland," she chuckles and flys away leaving him stranded.
"Overland?" He questioned, standing stroking his chin. The gold and colours of the tooth palace distracted his mind set. Glistening in the sun.
"Yes Overland," she says coming back with a little golden box. On the end it had a picture of a boy with brown hair and eyes, but a striking likeness to Jack's features.
"These are your memories Jack, who you were before you became you." He took the box and touched the top, falling backwards as a block was removed from his mind, revealing his past. His family, his fun, his friends, his-
"My sister!" He says loudly, he looks down in sorrow, "Emma, I-I left her," he sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"No Jack you saved her, you- protected her and we need you someday, to protect the children. I don't know when, but Manny will say something one day, you'll see," she comforted with a soft smile
"But, I left her Tooth, I nearly got her killed but killed myself, she would have been heart broken, torn, as would I," he thinks aloud.
"She found it hard to recover from, I saw it in her memories, she had a family, her descendants are probably still alive," she smiles
