The hunter and the vampire:

It took Vlad another four years to find Chase, and Chase was not happy at being found "What do you want Vampire?" after the situation was explained Chase agreed to help and the two men travelled back to the council. Vlad explained he needed to travel back via Cheyleigh as his friends were there, and although it would add a day or two, it would be worth it to check on their allies.

Alistor was not stupid and made sure his men were loyal; those that weren't where made to leave like Chase or had accidents; his group of hunters have become well known for taking what they wanted and killing those in their way.

Rosa and Adam had started a family, they had four little boys and Valentina doted on them; the pack Dr had told them that Tina would struggle to shift back, it had been too long, they hadn't told Valentina; they couldn't break her heart. Rosa knew that Vlad would return, he couldn't stay away forever; but neither Adam nor herself were ready to lose her. At sixteen Valentina knew she should find her mate soon; most wolves find their mates between sixteen and nineteen, but she didn't hold much hope of her mate not rejecting her.

When Chase and Vlad got close to Cheyleigh they had become good friends; Chase had told him all about his new human family and his son's Hern and Lyall born two years apart; they were family names passed down. Vlad in return had told him the story of Valentina and her bothers. Both men were excited to see Valentina, Chase to have contact with his niece; Vlad in the hope seeing her uncle would make her shift. At the border Rosa and Adam were waiting to greet them, Vlad was in enveloped in a hug before he could even say hello. "Vlad, I'm so glad your back, I've missed you. I can't wait to show you the family." Rosa was already pulling him and Chase towards the house "and don't think about running off straight away, we need to catch up, and your friend will need to eat and rest" Adam burst out into laughter "run, while you can, Rosa is using her mummy voice, you'll never get to the council". As they approached the house Vlad noticed a scent was missing but before he could ask two young pups rushed over and started talking to Adam "Tina went to Hame, the Alpha is really cross; but the council made him send her; Luna a used a bad word" and the second pup took over when the first took a breath "she said the council were poopy heads!! And then she told Tina not to go, but Tina..." before he could continue Sarah and Ben came over, Sarah looked at the pups "well I guess you know Tina has gone! She's not alone, it's a scouting mission; I did ask for her to stay behind, but you know how that girl is". Chase and Vlad were slightly disappointed but also glad they had more time to find out more about her life, before meeting her.
