Her voice was gone, Valentina tried to scream or push him away, he hadn't noticed she was awake; using the pack mind link she screamed for her father, for her mother, for her Alpha to rescue her; finally it was over and Vlad looked at her; there was no love left in her eyes, he could smell her fear.

He looked down at her, realising what he'd done; "Tina...My love...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to; I didn't realise...I just wanted to be close to you...." as Vlad moved away slowly trying not to make things worse, she curled into a tiny ball, pulling the blankets over her; Valentina began to sob silently, not a sound left her lips. Unable to deal with everything or anything around her she shifted; her wolf form looked at her mate; understanding and hate in her posture and eyes; Vlad tired to move closer, surely this aspect of his mate would understand, but the wolf before him growled, her hackles raised and teeth showing, he reached out his hand trying to sooth her with his words but Valentina moved away.

Vlad left the room, feeling defeated and ashamed, Valentina stayed in her wolf form, calling out again for her pack. It took Rosa and Adam a day to get to her, and this time Vlad let them in; handing a stake to Adam "I deserve this fate, there will be no blowback from the elders" Adam looked at him, understanding of why his child had called for him to save her "where is my daughter?" Vlad pointed to the room, "it's not my place to end you bloodsucker; maybe you deserve to live with the guilt".

Rosa rushed into the room, holding the wolf close to her; in the safety of her mother's arms Valentina shifted into human form, "I want to go home, don't leave me here" Rosa took off her jumper and pulled it into Valentina "I'll take you home baby, you never have to come here again; will you let Dad carry you?" Valentina could only give a small nod before her body was wracked with sobs. Adam carried her home, never once letting anyone apart from Rosa near her; when they reached Cheyleigh the Dr and Jed were waiting for them.

The Dr looked over and checked Valentina, trying to assess the physical damage left behind, When the Dr looked into the amber eyes of Valentina she just hugged her close, "rest Tina, I can give you something for the pain, but it won't last long. I can't fix this honey, but if you need me just call". Rosa helped Valentina to bath, making sure she was safe, there was a knock at the front door and Alpha Ben stood there, sadness and betrayal written on his face, "the vampire asks for passage to visit you Tina, I have refused; and will keep doing so until you are ready" Valentina nodded "may I see Jed now please?" Rosa called the child in and for the first time since she woke up Valentina smiled at the small boy "hello brother, I'm glad you're here" and held him close to her.
