Hannah's POV:
It was now well into the afternoon, almost approaching sunset; I had volunteered to stay with Lizzie in the hospital whilst everyone went to get breakfast and drove back to the house to try and get some sleep. Lizzie was still asleep and so I just solemnly sat in the arm chair, staring at the view from the ground floor window. It was quite bleak, mostly just  sights of greenery and shrubbery covering the car park. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lizzie sit up and so adjusted my gaze to look at her, only to notice a panicked expression on her face. 'H...Hannah,' I heard her whisper, followed by her mouthing 'period' to me. 'It's alright, I'll see what I can find, I'll be as quick as I can.' I explained as I stood up. Around halfway through the walk from Lizzie's ward to the nearest toilets, I felt my phone vibrate- I had a text from Joel.

[Hope everything is going okay, how is Lizzie? I will pop in tonight to say hello. X]

[Lizzie is okay, just very tired, she has been asleep most of the day. Can you do me a huge favour please? X]

[Yes, of course, I'll do anything to help  right now. Xx]

[Code red. Please buy sanitary products for Lizzie. Just buy the thickest ones you can find! X]

[No problem, I'll see you soon. Xx]

Joel's POV:
After much time spent in Sainsbury's deliberating which sanitary towels to get for Lizzie and then being stuck in traffic, we'd finally made it to the hospital. Ed didn't actually park in the hospital car park as it was only a quick drop off and pick up tonight. I stepped out of the car, carefully crossed the road and ran all the way to the hospital - Of course, I walked once I was in the hospital building though. Upon entering the vicinity of Lizzie's bed, I was greeted by a hug and a kiss on each cheek from my wife, who then said thank you and made her way towards the exit, ready to be reunited with Charlie and Ed. I softly placed my hand on the back of Lizzie's hand, to which she responded by making eye contact with me and smiling. 'Are these the right ones?' I asked awkwardly. She gave me a thumbs up. Yes, maybe I do know something about women's stuff after all!  'Are you staying with me tonight?' Lizzie queried. 'Of course, anything to support a friend.' I replied. 'It's midnight, I'm going to go to sleep now, goodnight Joel.' Lizzie asserted confidently and then silence as I watched her close her eyes and fall asleep.
