Broadway dad

One Month!!!

It's been one month on Broadway...

"Dad!! Can you believe it?? Today marks my one month on Broadway! I can't believe it!!!"

"I know sweetie! I'm so proud of you, you have grown so much... When we get to the theater someone has a gift for you but I don't know who."

"Ok I can't wait to see what it is!"

At the theater the whole cast threw a party for my one month on Broadway. After eating cake and celebrating with everyone, I left to get ready and Dante followed me.

"What are you doing? It's very gentlemen like to follow someone right?"

"Yea I know, but anyways did you dad say someone was going to give you a gift?"

"Yea..." Dante hands me a card.

 "Whats this?"

"That's the first gift, the second gift will come later." Like always he winks at me as he leaves.

I read the card and I saw that everyone signed it, I looked for Dante's name and saw it's the only one with hearts around it, I blushed and quietly said to yourself 'I love him'.

You finished the show and Alex grabbed a mic,

"Hello Winter Garden!!! So today marks a very special day. Today is the day that marks Caitlyn's 1 month on Broadway!!" Everyone starts clapping and Dante hands me a big bouquet of flowers. I started tearing up and everyone just hugged you, it reminded me of my first time on Broadway I felt that warm feeling again. At the stage door, when I signed the playbills I put "1 month!!" under my name just as a reminder for the people who came. I knew that Alex knew I had a crush on Dante which was so embarrassing because he would tease me about it all the time. After a few minutes of signing I didn't see Alex talking to Dante.

"Go on and ask her, I know the answer will be a yes."

"You really don't mind me asking your daughter out?"

"No... but if you hurt her you will pay," Dante tensed up in shock, "Nah I'm just kidding.. Now GO!!"

As Dante normally does as a mini jump scare he flicks me on the back of the head and every time I would jump, but this time I didn't flinch because I saw him come from behind in one girl's sunglasses.

"Well that's a first,"

"What do you mean?"

"You didn't jump this time, but anyways I have something to ask you."

Everyone started oohs and aahs... I was so red I felt embarrassed.

"Umm. Sure what is it?"

"Will you..... Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes!" Everyone was cheering and saying our ship name... The next second I find myself in a kiss, I was shocked at first but kinda just melted into his arms. It was short because in the background I heard my dad yell, "Alright break it up you to lovebirds." we giggled in my dad's response, when we went back in the theater after the stage door I was still shocked with Dante asking me out, I only saw this in movies and stories but I couldn't believe that I would finally be in a relationship.
