Authors Note: After some brainstorming I decided to change their ages a bit. They are now in 3rd grade. No extra time has passed really as far as the plot goes. Shinso and Tokoyami have been friends for longer, but had still just met Tsu that morning. I just felt like they were WAY too mature for being in kindergarten so I felt that 3rd grade was a good place where it was reasonable for Tsu to be as emotionally mature as she was, but still having it be far above that of people her age. I'm also probably not going to include her siblings in this and instead of wanting to provide a good life for them, she feels like that about Tokoyami and her parents.

Tsu's PoV

I sighed as I realized that he was talking in his sleep. He didn't really mean it. Besides we were way too young to be in a relationship. As I sat there in silence I started to enjoy him being like this. His calm deep breaths, his shoulders slowly rising and falling. Yeah I could get used to this.

I sat there, with Tokoyami asleep on my lap,for a while. Just enjoying being in his presence. He was happy and that was enough to make me happy. I was just there enjoying the moment.

I eventually heard my parents car pull up to the driveway. Shoot! I was so busy making sure that Tokoyami was okay that I never figured out how to explain this to my parents. And this was much worse than before. I wasnt just letting him stay at my house while his parents came home! I was sitting there with a boy they had never met asleep on my lap! They were going to lose their minds.

I quickly looked around for a place where he could hide but there was nothing. I sighed and accepted my fate as I heard the door to the car close. Besides I would have to disturb Tokoyami and whatever pain he felt emotionally from me pushing him away, would be much much worse than whatever lecture my parents gave me.

As my mom walked in the door she called out to me "Hey Tsu! I'm home sweetie! Where are you?" I quietly called out to her trying not to wake Tokoyami. "I'm on the couch. And uh can we talk for a bit?"

"Is something the matter sweetie? Are you okay?" My mom said in a concerned tone. "Ye-Yeah, but before you say anything, Promise that you will hear me out. Okay?" I responded, hoping that she would accept. My mom was never one to get mad at me but this is probably a situation where she would go crazy. "Of course honey! Whats..." She rounded the corner to see Tokoyami asleep on my lap.

"What's going on! Who the heck is this? Why is he" My mom said half surprised half angry. "MOM!" I raised my voice to get her attention. "You promised to hear me out..." I said in a firm, but not loud tone.

"Okay, but if you don't have a damn good reason, you are in massive trouble young lady" My mom said, hesitantly taking a seat in the recliner next to me. I took a deep breath. "This is a classmate and friend of mine. Fumikage Tokoyami. He had a bad day. Like a really bad day. His friend was teasing him and he overreacted pushing him off his chair and on to the ground. He immediately got up and tried to apologize but it didn't go very well."

"Okay but why is he here?" my mom asked a bit annoyed. "His parents are working late tonight and he was supposed to go over to his friends house until his parents got off work. But after the way his friend responded anyone could tell that option was off the table." I said, hoping this would go over well.

"Okay but why not stay with one of his other friends? Why is he with you?" my mom asked starting to calm down a bit. "That's the issue. Shinso was his only friend. He is kind of an outcast because his quirk hasn't materialized yet. A lot of kids thought he was just lying about it and that he was quirkless. Shinso was the only one who trusted him and got to know him." I sighed looking down. I was expecting another question but was met with only silence. My mom clearly wanted to know more before deciding how to react. I took another deep breath.
