Authors Note: Hey! Before we get into the story, I have a quick announcement to make. Basically I just want to restate what I said about my new discord. I made one to interact more with you guys. Link is in my profile description. (Because apparently you can't copy and paste links)
Would love to see you guys there. It is a method of talking with you all that I prefer to authors notes. Give me your opinions, share some ideas, or send me some other MHA content that you think I should check out! Hope to see you guys there. Thanks once again for the support.
Also apparently at the time of writing this, this story is ranked 9th out of 86 in the Tokotsuyu tag and 58th out of over 1000 in the Tokoyami tag. WHAT THE CRAP! I could never thank you guys enough. I expected to write maybe 3 chapters, decide its not my thing, and end up with like 5 views. This is absolutley insane. As a gift to you guys I am going to try to finish this story before the end of the summer. I cant guarantee anything but I will try my damn best. Anyway enough of the sappy heartfelt crap. This is a Tokoyami story and I need to be dead inside to fit the mood.
*whispers*Thank you though it really means a lot to me*whispers*
Tsu sat there, as Tokoyami began to take deep long breaths. She smiled knowing that he was getting better, even if it was slowly. She leaned down to give him a small kiss on the cheek before standing up. She knew her parents would want to talk to her about this. As she walked through the doorway, the smallest smile formed on Tokoyami's face.
As Tsu was taking care of the sleeping Tokoyami, her mother was explaining who Tokoyami was to her husband. Tsu quietly closed the door to her room and walked to the living room. Her father, unaware that Tsu had left her room asked "So... What do we do with him now"
Tsu firmly answered "He stays with us." Her parents turned their heads and met her strong gaze. The look on their daughters face was completely foreign to them. Tsu had never demanded anything from them her whole life. But this was different. This wasn't about her. This was about Tokoyami. Her mother, more surprised than upset, asked "Tsu, what do you mean?"
Tsu looked her mother dead in the eyes. "You saw how exhausted he was. You saw the way his legs were trembling. You saw how bloodshot his eyes were. You know something really bad happened and he was desperate. Really desperate." Tsu took a breath before continuing "Desperate to see me." She put emphasis on that last word.
Her parents looked at each other and then back to Tsu. Tsu, assuming she would have to convince them further, said "Tokoyami needs help. You know that as well as I do." Her mom knew she wouldn't be able to convince her otherwise. Besides, she agreed with her daughter. Mrs. Asui responded "Okay, he can stay for now. But I'm going to try and call his mother. Try and figure out what happened."
Tsu nodded and went to sit down on the couch. Her mother passed her on her way to the closet to get the phone book again. As her mother found the number and began to dial, her father asked Tsu more questions. He still did not fully understand what was happening. She filled him in the best she could, showing him the cut on her hand which had almost healed during her explanation.
Her mother hung up and said "No response. It rang but eventually went to voicemail. What now?" "Call the kids' father" said Mr. Asui. It was a perfectly reasonable response. Unfortunately, the phone book was written a good number of years ago. Before Tokoyami's father had moved to town. Before he changed his last name to his wife's. Tsu's mother looked at the phone book again and realized this. "He's not here. There is only one Tokoyami listed" her mother replied as a frown appeared on her lips. "We have to tell someone right?"
Tsu's father sighed. "We call the police" He didn't really want to do this at 2 am but this was their best option now. His wife felt the same and dialed #9110 (That is the number in japan to contact the police for non-emergency situations. At least according to the first result when I looked on google lol) as Tokoyami was safe for the time being.
"One of my daughters friends from school just showed up at my doorstep. He took a few steps forward before collapsing into my daughters arms, passing out." Ms. Asui stated to the operator on the other side. "He doesn't look physically hurt but was extremely exhausted. He is currently asleep and safe for the time being. We tried to call his mother but she did not pick up. We don't know how to contact his father." She paused while listening to what the woman told her. "Oh right, his name. It's Fumikage Tokoyami." She replied. She paused for about another minute before hanging up.
Tsu's mother put her phone back in her pocket and turned back towards her family. "All the officers that are currently on duty are unavailable. They will send a team early tomorrow morning to Tokoyami's house to try and learn more from his mother." She told them. She sighed knowing there was nothing more they could do.
Tsu's mother yawned, not expecting to be up so late. "Tsu, help me carry Fumikage to the couch so you can go to bed." Tsu shook her head and objected "He passed out from exhaustion as soon as he was close enough for me to catch him. He needs my bed much more than I do." Her mother asked "But what about you?"
Tsu answered "I will try to get some sleep on the chair at the foot of my bed. If he wakes up, he will need me with him." Her mother obliged with a sigh. She knew Tsu would stand her ground if she tried to argue, and she was too tired to do that anyway.
"Come on. It's really late. We all need to be in bed" said Mr. Asui while standing up. His family responded with a nod. Before entering her room Tsu wished her parents good night. She quietly opened the door and stepped inside. She turned her head to Tokoyami who was the same as she left him. He was asleep on his side taking slow deep breaths. He looked completely different from the friend who had passed out in her arms not too long ago. Seeing that he was doing better, a soft smile formed on Tsuyu's face as she closed the door behind her. She made her way to the chair at the foot of her bed. She sat down and made herself comfortable.
Time skip till 3 am.
Tokoyami is still out like a light, but Tsu is getting pretty cold. Despite this her hibernation instincts don't kick in and she can't sleep because she is too worried about him. She quietly makes her way to the living room to grab the blanket Tokoyami used yesterday afternoon. She takes the blanket back to the chair in her room. She sits back down and tucks herself in. It helps a little bit but she is still shivering. She takes a deep breath and stands up to roll over Tokoyami so she can squeeze under the warmer covers with him. She does so and climbs into her bed and they lay back to back. Tokoyami, in his sleep, turns backs over and places his arm over Tsu. Tsu blushes slightly, but doesn't do anything as it would risk disturbing him again and him waking up. Thanks to Tokoyami's body warmth, and the better insulated sheets, Tsu is able to fall asleep to the light pitter patter of rain.
Present Mic voice: AWW THAT WAS ADORABLE !!! MORE SWEET TOKOTSUYU MOMENTS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED! BUT MANY MYSTERIES REMAIN UNSOLVED.
WHAT ARE TSU'S PARENTS GOING TO DO WITH THIS IN THE MORNING?
HOW WILL THE POLICE REACT WHEN THEY ARRIVE AT TOKOYAMI'S HOUSE IN THE MORNING?
DOES ANYONE EVEN CARE ABOUT SHINSO ANYMORE?
I CANT ANSWER THAT LAST ONE BUT THE ANSWERS TO THE FIRST TWO WILL BE SHOWN NEXT TIME (Hopefully tomorrow afternoon) ON: THIS STORY MIGHT ACTUALLY BE DECENT 2020
Authors Note: I plan to finish this arc in the next 2 or 3 parts depending on how well I can flesh out my ideas. I don't have a solid plan for what to do after that so I may be taking a break for a couple days after to brainstorm. This is a good chance to get your ideas implemented via the discord I mentioned at the beginning. The link is in my profile description. I want to implement more funny stuff in that holiday mini arc so I hope that turns out well. See ya next time!
Present Mic comes back:HEY THE AUTHOR FORGOT TO MENTION THAT HE REALLY APPRECIATES YOUR SUPPORT AND FEEDBACK! WHAT A DUMMY! HE REALLY WANTS TO GET HIS READERS INVOLVED SO MAKE SURE TO GIVE HIM YOUR THOUGHTS! (walks off muttering "I better get paid overtime for this.")
