Katie's POV
" Hey ho, what's up fam"
" Hi Katie. John is in his room" Mer said as I entered the Orlando house.
Let me give you some background information about me and the Orlando's especially Johnny.
We've basically been best friends since we were born. The dream team ever since. We're inseparable and do everything together. From going on family vacations together over going in your together. And it's easier of us since our dads have been best friends ever since. They even ship us together which is slightly weird since he's like a brother to me. I mean he's cute but I just don't see us as more than friends right now. Okay but anyways he even gave me a "promise ring". It's a symbol for our everlasting friendship and it let us feel like we're tougher at moments we aren't. Since ist rare that I can come on tour with him.
Anyways enough of our background and roll to the present time.
I enter his room and fall right next to him on his bed.
" What's up JohnO "
" Nothing much but seriously you watched to much OuterBanks my dear"
" Excuse you, you can't watch too much Outer Banks that's just impossible."
" True True. But anyways what do you wanna do? I'm sooo bored" he whined as he sat himself up on the bed.
" We could go out and grab some food" I suggested and he immediately threw one of his hoodies at me. " Let's Go" he said walking out of his bedroom door.
" What's the hoodie for?" I ask following him while putting it on.
" It's cold outside and you decide to wear a crop top. I always questioned your style of clothes. Plus I knew you were gonna ask for something when we arrive at the mall." He said turning around to grab the car keys. A wink left his left eye. And an eye roll left my face. This kid knows me too well.
*skip the car ride*
We arrived at the mall and went straight to the food court. We got our meals and sat down and started talking.
" Btw K I have some important news for you" John said as he started his burger.
" Om shoot"
" I have a girlfriend" he said as it's the most casual thing in the world.
" YOU HAVE WHAT?" I literally screamed and everyone around us stared at me. Why does that low key hurt me? I should be happy for him I mean he deserves to be happy. But I low key want to be the one who makes him happy. Ok I need to stop with that. He's my best friend nothing more. Or is he? I came back to reality and see that everyone's still staring at us.
" What here's nothing to see. Mind your own business" and with that everyone turned back to their business.
" Your crazy" he said taking a sip of his coke.
" Yeah maybe but that's why you love me" I said and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
" Excuse me. You two are a really cute couple you remind me of my wife and me when we were your age" an older guy around his 70 said to us.
" Thank you very much but we're not dating. She's my best friend and I actually have a girlfriend" John said and I don't know why but I was disappointed that I was just his best friend. All my life I couldn't imagine more than a friendship with him but since the last three months I want to be more. But now he has a girlfriend and I don't have a chance anymore.
" But John who is she actually" I asked him taking a bite of my fry.
" Uhm so she's tall, she has short brown hair and brown eyes you can easily get lost in. And yeah she has an awesome personality and she just makes me all around happy" he said with hearts in his eyes.
" Sounds Perfect for you" I said and tried to put on my perfect fake smile.
" Should I ask her to come over later so you two can meet up?" He asked me taking his last bite from his burger.
" Yeah sure" i said hesitant.
"But John don't forget about rule number two in our friendship code. Never and I mean NEVER put another person besides family members above our friendship"
" Of course silly you'll always be my number one and you know that" he said now giving me a kiss on the cheek.
The old man from earlier turned around to us and winked at me. He's kinda creepy if you ask me.
We arrived at his house and he texted his girlfriend to come over in a bit. I actually can't wait to meet her. If she's really how he described her than she must be pretty cool. Hopefully she's not a fake bi**h who just uses him for his fame. I just hate these people.
" Heeelllluuuuu earth to Katie. You there?"
As I got back to reality two hands where snapping in Forint of my face.
" Huh? Yeah I'm here. What's the matter?"
" You seem completely changed since I told you I have a girlfriend. Are you ok? Do you wanna tell me something?" He asked me concerned.
" Nah I'm good I'm just not feeling well today you know. Girls stuff" that's my go to excuse. Girls stuff works every time.
*Ding Dong*
" I got it" John yelled and ran to the font door. Behind it was a very tall girl most likely 5 inches taller than him with short, brown-red hair and glasses.
I couldn't hold a little laugh back as they hugged. It's just he got completely squeezed away by her. She saw me and immediately gave me a death glare. Oh boy this is about to be interesting.
" Come on in Babe" he said and guided us towards the living room.
" So Katie this is my girlfriend Sarah, Sarah this is my best friend I told you about. This is Katie." He introduced us.
" It's so nice to meet you Sarah" I said sticking out my hand for her to shake. She took it still death glaring me and nearly breaking my hand. " Yeah nice to meet you Karen" she said in an annoyed voice. Oh this is about to get real ugly here.
" My name is Katie" I corrected her.
" Oh my bad"
*insert awkward silence😅*
" Ok I gonna get us something to drink" John said and left to the kitchen.
Sarah turned around to make sure he was out of sight.
" Ok what do you want from him" she asked me.
" Uhm excuse me I don't really understand" I said trying me best to be still polite to her. But I don't know how long I can keep that.
" Look, I'm here now. He doesn't need you anymore. So do him and yourself a favor and stay away from him. If so no one will get hurt ok"
Did I just heard that right? This little bi**h is trying to steal my best friend from me. Nah you ain't ready for the storm that's coming up. You just singed your won death certificate. I won't leave this without a fight. And only one will come out alive. And that person will be me. I won't give up on John that easily. He means too much to me.
