Harry looked at Draco's blue eyes. He never got himself to really look into his eyes for longer than a hateful glare. But now that he took the time, he actually found them admirable. "Second question." The blond said, interrupting Harry in the middle of admiring Draco's eyes. "Why did you save my life, twice." Draco looked genuinely confused. Harry took a moment to form an answer. "Kind of the same reason you didn't snitch me. I never meant to kill anyone. I had the chance to save you in that fire and I took it. We might be enemies but I don't wish you dead, Malfoy." Harry said in one breath.
Draco looked down. "Enemies right." He mumbled. "Come again?" Harry asked. "Nothing go on." Draco immediately said. "That second time I just saved you because you were standing next to a death eater, actually." Harry truthfully said, scratching the back of his head with his right hand. "Thank you for that. I would've died if it weren't for you." Draco said. "Don't sweat it Malfoy."
Both boys stood there for a second, until Harry spoke up again. "So why didn't you ask me during potions?" "Figured we'd need more time. And I like the sight from up here." Draco said while stepping closer to the rail to look outside. "Never took you as the kind of person to enjoy a fresh breath at 1am." Harry joked. "Yeah and you never really took me as the kind of person to be friends with you apparently." Draco backfired.
Harry and Draco now stood directly in front of each other. Both looking somewhere else because the tension was too strong. "Pasts aside, we can be friends now?" Harry carefully asked. "I think I can choose the right friends for myself thanks." Draco said sassily before bursting out in laughter. Harry joined him. "Did you really keep that line for eight years just to get me back?" Harry asked. "And it would've been longer if you didn't ask me to be friends right now Potter." The taller said whilst almost choking from laughter.
Harry and Draco shared some funny and interesting stories until Harry saw that the other was getting drowsy. "It would be best if we got back to our dormitories now Malfoy." Harry said. "As a matter of fact I actually have a test tomorrow which I haven't studied for yet." Draco streaked his hand through his now messy hair and agreed. So they both went down the stairs and walked through the long, big halls together.
"By the way, you may not have noticed but you have this big bruise on your forehead." Draco said. Harry brought his hand to his scar. "Malfoy that's literally my scar are you being serious right now?" Harry smiled. Draco bursted into laughter after realizing how misleading his comment sounded. "No really you have a bruise right- here." He said whilst pushing his index finger softly on the bruise. Harry flinched a little. "Right, that's from Hermione. She accidentally threw her book at me after Ron scared her." He informed Draco, who then made an inhuman sound because of how hard he was trying to keep his laughter in.
After a little while of walking they were now in a long hall. "Potter. You have trouble falling asleep, right?" Draco carefully asked. "That's why you were in the Tower the first time." Harry looked at Draco and nodded. Why lie when it's not that bad of a thing to be known. "That's what I thought. Don't worry, me too. I couldn't sleep either. Just know-" He said and he paused for a moment. He took a deep breath and went on. "Just know that.. If you can't sleep, I probably can't either so-"
A smile appeared on Harry's face. "So I know that if I'm not able to sleep I can always come to the Tower and you'll be there?" Harry filled in for the taller boy. Draco kept looking straight in front of him, denying eye contact as he nodded and smiled. "Then I won't pass up on your invitation."
Both boys split paths as Harry went straight forward and Draco took the stairs down to the Dungeons. Harry whispered the password to the Fat Lady and got in. Just when the portrait closed again Harry got jumped by none other than Hermione. "So how did it go? Took you long enough! I fell asleep like 3 times." She whispered. Harry smiled at her excitement.
"We're friends now.. I think." Harry whispered back. He sounded like he didn't quite believe it himself. Hermione's face was all shock. "What!" She almost screamed. "Shhhh!" Harry shushed her. "What!" She whispered this time. "How on earth? I thought that was impossible." She added. "That makes the two of us." The raven haired boy chuckled. "I don't even know how it happened. It all went so fast. From one second on the other we were friends."
Hermione couldn't comprehend the situation. "Just.. Poof?" She asked. "Just poof." Harry repeated. "Goodnight this is all a dream. Tomorrow I will wake up and this will just be one of my imaginations." Hermione joked as she dramatically walked past Harry. "He also told me we could always just talk a little, you know, when I can't fall asleep." Harry said.
Hermione thought for a second. "Harry, are you sure this is not some kind of joke he's playing on you?" That one sentence made Harry think. It could be a joke, but why would Malfoy put so much effort into it just to make fun of me at the end. "I'm giving him a chance. Everyone deserves that." Harry simply said. "Now, I don't know about you but I'm exhausted so let's get some sleep." He added and walked up the stairs. "Goodnight Harry." Hermione sweetly said. "Goodnight." And both doors silently closed.
