"You're not going home Harry?" An absent voice sweetly asked. "Oh hi Luna. Um no, Hogwarts is really my only home anyway." He answered. Luna smiled at him, understanding how he felt about Hogwarts. "Looks like it's going to be the two of us then." She said as she put on her weird glasses. "Maybe we can try to catch some Nargles."

"Or maybe he can hang out with me." Another voice said. It was obviously Draco, Harry recognized that voice from several kilometers away. "Hi Draco." Luna said. "Why aren't you going home?" Draco looked at Luna and then at Harry. Harry was interested in that question as well. It was pretty unusual for Draco, a pureblood and slytherin, to stay at Hogwarts during the winter vacation.

"My parents decided to go on vacation without me. They figured I'd be alright here." Draco simply answered. No other details, just an answer to the question. Luna just nodded and walked up to another student. Draco took the opportunity to turn to Harry and ask him why he wasn't going home. "You missed a lot, but long story short Hogwarts is more of a home to me than any other actual house will ever be." He said with the biggest smile. Draco looked a little confused but just went with it.

"So what do you think Potter, care to celebrate Christmas with me this year?" Draco said in the sweetest tone Harry had ever heard him talk in. "I wouldn't know why not. Also, I think we can drop the last name now. Aren't we over that already." Harry said. The blond now nervously looked around. "I kind of grew into calling you that. I think I'll just stick with it a little longer." Draco chuckled.

"Fair enough." Harry just answered and they both went to the Great Hall. During the vacations the tables weren't parted into the houses. Everyone just chose who they wanted to sit with as there were only a few students who actually stayed at Hogwarts during vacations. It was honestly pretty cozy like that. Harry had always found these days to be very relaxing.

It was now time for dinner and there were about 30 students from the usual 1000 in the room. They either sat in little groups or in pairs just like Harry and Draco. Draco took some pork and vegetables while Harry chose to eat chicken with some rice. The raven haired felt a little uncomfortable eating as Draco and him constantly looked at each other as the other looked away for a second.

Harry never thought it would be this awkward to just sit in front of Draco and eat. They both managed to eat their food without too much awkward moments but it was visible for everyone who looked at them that they were having a hard time talking to each other.

The fact that almost everyone was staring at them didn't really make it any better. Harry didn't blame anyone though, seeing him with Draco without them arguing in any shape or form was just as rare for them to see as a dead person climbing up out of its grave.

"Everyone is looking at us." Draco commented. Harry just grinned and told him not to think about that and just keep eating. "I think you sometimes forget how we were sort of enemies for the last seven years. I would've probably reacted the same if I saw us sitting like this three months ago." Harry answered. It had already been three months since their first encounter but it was still weird for Harry to acknowledge the fact that he befriended Draco. Now that they were friends he found Draco to be way nicer than he thought he could ever be.

Draco also had nice eyes. So Harry being the Gryffindor he was didn't think before speaking: "You have pretty eyes you know." He said, his own eyes widening as soon as he realized that he just said that out loud. Draco visibly blushed and coughed a little as he probably choked on his pork. "Thank you." Draco said as he recovered from his near death experience. "You have a nice pair of eyeballs yourself." Now it was Harry's turn to choke. The meaning of what he said was nice but the way he said it was just pure comedy gold. "Thanks Draco."

The taller now had about fifty shades of grey on his cheeks, but make it red. Harry knew why Draco was acting all weird all of the sudden. He had just called him by his first name for one of the first times in history. Obviously it was weird for Draco, so Harry decided to make it less awkward. "If you don't mind I'm just going to use the restroom for a second." Harry said as he got from his seat and calmly walked out of the big room.

He heard whispers everywhere. "Harry and Draco were talking? I bet Draco just told him to go away." A girl, who appeared to be a third year, said. Harry ignored the assumptions and just went to the restroom. Sure, he didn't actually have to use the toilet but at least he got some time to breathe as well.

Tomorrow would be the 24th of December, Chirstmas day. Harry wondered how it would go, he was used to having Ron and Hermione by his side but this year would be different. He didn't think about it that long because he realized he should probably get back to the Hall.

By the time he got back a lot of students already left the Hall. They either went to their own Common room or they went outside to throw snowballs. Just like any other year, Hogwarts was covered in snow. It was a beautiful sight. Harry seated himself back in front of Draco and just smiled at him as he didn't know what to say.

Draco filled in the silence: "Do you have any plans? For tomorrow I mean." Harry didn't have anything to do, Draco knew that since he had seen how Ron and Hermione left this afternoon. "No I don't." Harry nonchalantly said. "Then do you want to spend Christmas with me this year?" Draco desperately asked. He was so desperate that he had already forgotten that he asked somewhat the same question he already asked Harry when he was talking with Luna.

"Draco I already told you I'd like to spend Christmas with you this year. Didn't you hear me just a few hours ago?" Harry chuckled. Draco hid his blush by standing up from the table they were sitting on. Harry was oblivious and just stood up as well to join Draco to wherever they were going now.
