"Another of your night cravings, young master?" Boun asked with a mischievous smile on his lips as soon as he saw Earth popping up on the kitchens' door. He actually tries to hold back his laughter when he asked that.

Earth glared sharply at the alpha chef, "Don't laugh at me!"

Boun raised his hands in surrender, "I'm not laughing, see!" he shrugged his shoulders. However, a second later he chuckled.

Earth pouted his lips.

Tonight became the fourth time the omega woke up craving something, and during that time Boun was the one who's always cooking for him. Because as a new chef, Boun was tasked with preparing the ingredients for the next day, so he was the one who Earth met every time he's craving something.

Boun instead laughed out loud. He cleared his throat, then he looked at Earth who crossed his arms and glared at him, "Is there any specific food you want, young master?"

In an instant, the omega's face brightened, "Can you make me smoked salmon eggs benedict?"

"Of course. You're so lucky that we have the salmon tonight, young master. As usual, sit there," Boun pointed to the seat Earth used to sit on as he prepared the food that Earth asked for.

"I want additional pieces of avocado and tomatoes too," Earth added.

"If I may ask, why not ask young master Kao to get it for you? So that you don't have to wander to the kitchen alone every night," Boun asked suddenly. He actually wanted to ask the omega from the beginning but was afraid that it was a sensitive topic for Earth.

Earth then smiled gently, "I don't want to be selfish and make him more tired. Kao must be tired of handling documents during the day, so I want him to get a full sleep at night," he replied.

Boun didn't ask further, because from what he could see, Earth's expression now looked rather lonely behind the omega's gentle smile.

As usual, after Earth finished eating his food, Boun escorted him back to his room.

"Wa-!"

Boun swiftly pulls Earth's waist to prevent the omega from being fallen. His hand remain in Earth's waist for a while, making sure the omega is okay, especially since he's pregnant right now.

"Haa," the omega breath a sigh of relief, "Thank you for catching me, if not for you I would have fallen," Earth said as he tried to calm his racing heart.

Boun replied, "You're welcome, young master. Be more careful," he noticed something on the floor, "Water?" he asked.

Earth became confused, he then realized that his sandals stepped on a puddle of water, "Huh? I think when I went to the kitchen, there was no water here," he said.

Boun then led Earth to the front door of the room, "Rest, young master," he said. He then went to clean the puddle of water before returning to the kitchen.

Kao let out a long sigh with the documents he was reading in his hands. His concentration has been came and gone today.

Kao looked up as Selena stood in front of his desk, "What's wrong, Kao?" she asked with a worried expression.

Kao shook his head, "I can't concentrate," he answered. He sighed again.

Selena then walked around the table and stood behind Kao, her hands slowly starting to massage Kao's shoulders.

"Stop, Selena. I don't want Earth to see this and misunderstand it," he told Selena.

Selena continued to massage Kao's shoulder, "It's okay, don't worry, let me help you relax," she replied. "Besides, what do you have been thinking about that make you lose your concentration?"

Kao closed his eyes for a moment, "Nothing," he answered simply.

Selena stopped her massage but she still put her hand on Kao's shoulder, "Is this because of your omega?" she asked.

Instantly, Kao looked up at Selena's worried face, "How do you know?"

Selena starts to look unsure.

"Selena?"

Selena finally looked at Kao worriedly, "Actually, I accidentally saw it..." she began.

"What have you seen?" Kao asked, now he gave her his full attention.

Selena bit her lower lip because she was nervous, but then she sighed, "Didn't you smell another alpha's scent on your mate when you woke up in the morning?"

Kao was stunned, how did she know?

Selena continued as she saw Kao's surprised expression, "In the middle of the night, I fell asleep and woke up in the lounge after I was tired of taking random photos with my camera. When I passed the hall near your room, I saw your omega being embraced by another alpha in the hallway. And because I brought my camera, I quietly took their photo and printed it, here."

Selena handed a photo paper to Kao. Inside the photo, Kao could see two people but only from their backs. In the photo, one man who was tall was embracing the waist of the shorter ones, but Kao can recognize his mate's clothes and posture even from behind, as well as Earth's slightly visible face in the photo.

Kao was silent for a long time and just looked at the photo in his hand. He remembered several mornings when he could smell another alpha's scent from Earth's body, and that didn't only happen once. Even this morning he remembers smelling the same scent, hence on why he has become distracted thinking about it all day.

Selena continued her massage on Kao's shoulder which had stiffened since the man saw the photo. "I don't want to speculate or accuse your mate of having an affair behind your back, but actually ..."

Selena paused for a moment before she continued, "...I've seen them together a few days before this photo was taken."

Kao kept being silent after that.

a/n: I already promised in my tweet that I will publish chapter 8 today, so here we are! Not just one or two, but many of the readers asked me to gave some dramas and conflicts....you guys roasted me when I suddenly drop a drama or make Mu suffered, but then you were the one asking me for some? HAHHAHAHAHA. Let me ask again, maybe I'll take your opinion on this. What do you think will happen after this?
