-Arabella's POV-
"Wake up Bella! Time for breakfast!" I felt my covers being shoved off and I shivered in the absence of warmth. I finally decided to open my eyes and I saw Annie and Lily, completely ready. I reluctantly slid off the bed and fell on the floor.
"Are you okay?" Lily asked, grabbing my hand to help pull me up.
"Yeah." I got up, with Lily's help, and walked over to my trunk. I pulled out my uniform and slipped it on as Annie plaited Lily's dark red hair. I brushed my long hair and put it up into a ponytail.
"Let's go!" Annie said impatiently.
"Fine, fine. Alright I'm coming." I mumbled.
"What did you say Bella?" Annie looked back at me.
"Nothing." I put on my shoes and followed Annie and Lily down to the Great Hall. I got some french toast with Lily while Annie got scrambled eggs and toast.
We sat at the Gryffindor table with Remus and Frank. "Where's the others?" I yawned.
"Still asleep. Can't get them up." Remus shrugged.
"Guess they'll be late for class then." Annie took a bite of her toast.
We all finished and got up to leave. "Do you want to come with us, Remus?" Annie asked the scarred boy.
He sighed. "I think I will. The others aren't coming soon. Don't want to be late for class." He followed us out of the Great Hall.
"Do any of you know where Transfiguration is?" Annie looked around.
"I don't know." Remus and Lily replied. I shrugged.
"Let's go exploring then!" I started running.
"Bella, wait up!" Lily called. I kept running until I saw what I thought was the classroom. Everyone else caught up in a minute or two.
"Arabella! Don't run in the hallway!" Annie said sternly.
"You did, too." I snapped back.
"That's because you were running and we had to catch up to you, you dinghead!"
"Stop fighting!" Lily stepped in the middle of us.
"Yeah, let's go in." Remus lead the way into the classroom. A short man that was quite fat was organising jars on the shelves. He turned to us and he reminded me of a walrus.
"Hello Professor. We were wondering where the Transfiguration classroom is?" Annie waved at the walrus.
"Oh! I'll show you the way. Follow me!" We followed him around twists and turns and up and down staircases.
"Here we are!" He declared, gesturing to a neat classroom. "I hope to see you all in my Potions class this afternoon." He gave a wink and headed upstairs.
"Does anyone remember the way?" I asked.
"I do." Annie replied as she walked into the classroom. I followed her in only to see Professor McGonagall standing in the front.
"Good, all of you are early. Five points to each of you for arriving early." McGonagall smiled at each of us.
"Thank you, Professor." Lily said as she sat down in one of the front three desks. I sat next to her, pulling out my wand. Remus sat behind Lily and Annie, instead of sitting by me, she sat by Remus behind me. I looked back at her, confused. She shrugged.
Students filed in a few minutes later. The Gryffindors avoided sitting by me. Yeah, they should be afraid of me. I thought, smiling evilly. Professor McGonagall started the class with a lecture. As she lectured us, I looked around. Sirius, James, and Peter were not here yet.
Three boys ran into the classroom. Peter sat next to Annie, and I glared at him. Sirius sat next to me and James had to find a seat in the back. McGonagall paused her lecture to look at the three boys. "Five from each of you three for being late." Then, she began her lecture again.
By the end of class, most of us got nowhere. Annie and, surprisingly, James were the only ones that made their matches even a little pointy. Remus and Lily made differences to their matches, but not the right differences. Sirius and I made one difference: one end of the match was lit on fire. We were laughing about it all until McGonagall put it out and took away ten points each.
The next class was Defense Against the Dark Arts, which I did literally nothing in. The Professor was exciting, but I just struggled. Annie, as anyone could guess, excelled in that class.
At lunch, Annie and Lily sat next to each other, but I decided to sit with the boys. James and I went off about Quidditch as Peter stared at Annie. I paused what I saying to glare at Peter.
"Peter! Stop staring at my sister! You're creeping me out." I spoke up. Peter went bright red and I turned back to James to continue our conversation.
In potions, Professor Walrus taught us about the Cure for Boils. Lily and Severus completed the potion by the end of class. Annie struggled with potions and even I did better than Annie. Even Peter did better than Annie and he's not very good at anything.
In my opinion.
The last class we had was charms. We learned about Wingardium Leviosa, the Levitation Charm. Annie had it down as soon as Professor Flitwick introduced it. Flitwick was seriously impressed and awarded her thirty points for her adeptness.
When we got back to the common room, I dropped my books on a table as I sighed. We had so much homework to do, but I just didn't want to do it. Annie, Lily, and Remus set right to work as soon as they got in. Sirius, James, and Peter came running in, playing tag. Sirius tagged me, so I began to also run around the common room. One of the Prefects yelled at us, so we finally stopped and sat on the floor, laughing.
Annie and Lily stood up and left the common room. I stood up quickly and called, "Hey, where are you guys going?"
"We are going to see Severus. He's in Slytherin." Lily replied quickly.
"Oh, that greasy haired boy?" I snorted. Lily went red with anger.
"He's not greasy." Lily said through clenched teeth. Annie death-stared at me as she lead Lily out of the common room. I sighed and climbed up to the dormitories to go to bed.
