"A-Ling did you skip classes again to come see me? You need to stop doing that, you're going to worry your Uncles if you don't show up." Said Yanli as she saw her son walk into her hospital room.
"No I didn't Mom, today was an off day. Besides I can't skip anymore or it'll effect my grades." Jin Ling explained, slightly irritated because he did well in school and had good grades so why did it matter that he was skipping? He was seeing his mother when he skipped, not being a delinquent like everyone thought.
"You shouldn't be skipping at all A-Ling. Your education is important." Yanli lightly scolded, Jin Ling sat in the chair by her bedside with a pout. "You are important too Mom..." He whined, Yanli smiled gently and patted her son on the head.
"Well, we can let it slide for today. Tell how school is going? Anything interesting happen? How's A-Xian in teaching?" She asked, smiling getting slightly bigger when she saw her son cheer up a bit.
"Nothing new much. Oh wait there is one new thing. We recently got a new homeroom teacher and he's weird. I know you say not to judge a person Mom but something about him doesn't sit right. And he's always giving slight glances at Zizhen. I don't like it, i hate it. He makes Zizhen very uncomfortable and i can smell it off of Zizhen. Why can I smell it off of him?" Jin Ling explained to his mother, the thought of Mr. Zhuliu sent chills down his spine.
But also filled him with rage at the way he made his friend uncomfortable. "Have you told the school about this? Or A-Xian? Of the school won't listen then your uncle will." Yanli asked. "And the reason why you can smell it off of him is because your an Alpha A-Ling. Its in your biological instinct to protect a stressed omega and neutralize the source of the stress."
"I want to tell Uncle or the school but from what the principle told us, he has a perfect record and a normal background. But the sudden change in teacher just doesn't sit right and I don't want to go accusing him of anything without proof. But if he keeps looking at Zizhen like that I will stab him." Jin Ling ranted. And in that moment Yanli saw her brothers in her son, always wanting to do the right thing but wanting to act without all the facts.
But she was also worried because he was also talking like Wangji did when in business mode, her son is too young for that business still. Yet that fire in her son's eyes to protect his friend told her that he might take up that training sooner rather than later...
