Today had been a lot to take in for Wei Ying. First his son presents and the presentation has Jin Ling a nervous wreck. But also when Sizhui woke up, he had to leave because he got a call from a terrified Zizhen.
Needless to say when he arrived at the location Zizhen said, he wasn't expecting to his nephew on the ground with a knife nearby and a body bleeding out.
"Jingyi?" He called out to his nephew snapping out of whatever trance he was in, the tears finally falling down his face.
"I-I'm sorry...I didn't mean to, h-he was trying to hurt Zizi...I'm sorry." Jingyi cried and it broke Wei Ying's heart. He pulled Jingyi to stand up and hugged him, letting Jingyi cry his eyes out.
"Shhh its going to be okay. Zizhen what happened?" He asked, seeing Zizhen stand up on shaky legs. He needed to get these kids somewhere warm.
"Mr. Zhuliu had asked me to stay after class but Jingyi must've sensed something off because he grabbed me and ran out of the classroom when he had Mr. Zhuliu distracted. He was going to take us to hide at Mr. Guangyao's cafe until later when the bell rang and school was over." He explained as Wei Ying took them out of the alley and into his car.
"And when we were almost there, Mr.Zhuliu pulled me into the alley and...." Zizhen couldn't finish the sentence. "He tried to do something, and it made Jingyi snap and stab the living hell out of Mr. Zhuliu and that's when I called you." Zizhen finished explaining.
"Well I'm going to take you two to my home and get you warmed up and take care of this. Everything is going to be fine I promise." Wei Ying reassured as he turned the heated seats on and drove away.
