Chapter 14: Nie Huaisang + Jiang Cheng

To say Huaisang felt awkward was an understatement, one minute he's home and the next he's sitting across from Jiang Cheng alone in his and Xichen's house.

"While I'm not complaining Jiang Cheng. Can you please explain as to why you barged into my house and dragged me to yours?" Asked Huaisang slightly annoyed.

"Oh to discuss wedding plans." Jiang Cheng sarcastically deadpanned.

"Really-?!"

"No ya idiot. Me and Xichen already had all that set up months ago. I brought you here because Yang told me some interesting information." Jiang Cheng angrily spat out, roughly slamming his coffee mug on the table. "What the hell are you doing dating Wen Chao again?! Are you stupid or something?!" He yelled, making Huaisang flinch.

"How did he know-?!" Huaisang cut himself off and placed his hand over his mouth to stop himself from talking anymore. Jiang Cheng let out a frustrated sigh. "So its true...Huaisang why? What are you thinking?!" Jiang Cheng truly wanted to believe it wasn't true but his friend basically confirmed it to be true.

"He's my mate! I-I can't deny him. And he's changed! He really trying his hardest to win me back, he won't even kiss me without making sure its okay first." Huaisang tried to explain that Wen Chao was different, and he really was trying his best. It warmed Huaisang's heart and he felt loved by his mate for once.

"Huaisang...." Jiang Cheng felt bad for his friend, his whole life he wanted a mate. Wanted a fairytale wedding with said mate. His friend was a hopeless romantic that got more and more depressed each day that went by he couldn't find his mate. He wanted to be happy for Huaisang but...

"I just want to be happy...is that so wrong?" Huaisang hesitantly asked.

"No its not, i want you to be happy. We all do but its Wen Chao were talking about here. That man I don't think he's even human. Why give him a second chance after everything he did?! He ordered that minion of his to rape my brother, he raped and tormented Yang, he drugged me and tried to hurt me in front of Xichen, he killed my parents, and god knows what else he did! Huaisang he's a horrible person and you know your brother never approved of him." Jiang Cheng lectured but now it was Huaisang's turn to snap.

"Don't talk about my brother! Dage wanted my happiness more than anyone and if Wen Chao makes me happy then I don't care what anyone thinks! Just let me be happy!" Huaisang yelled.

And then the argument began.

"And your happiness is with an abusive toxic alpha that would leave you for dead once he grows tired of you?! That's not happiness Huaisang! I know you want a mate more than anything and are tired of waiting but Wen Chao is not that mate!"

"Yes he is! Because the day i met him im that bar I felt that tug in my soul. He is my mate, just accept it!"

"So I'm supposed to accept the fact he'll hurt you and kill you one day?! I'm supposed to ignore the red flags?! Open your eyes Huaisang! He's just using you! He'll break you so you'll bend to his will! Is that what you want?!"

"Well maybe breaking me to keep as his own is better! At least that way he won't leave me! I don't care if he'll kill me one day!!" Huaisang yelled back, panting for air as Jiang Cheng stared at him. Pale and in shock, barely registering what Huaisang said. "W-What are you saying Huaisang..?" Jiang Cheng stuttered out.

"What do you mean by tha-" It then clicked into Huaisang's mind what he had yelled back. "No- I- no. I didn't. I don't. I don't know. I don't know...really. I-I gotta go..." Huaisang stuttered out and ran out the door.

"Huaisang!" Jiang Cheng yelled but it was no use, Huaisang was already gone.
