Today we were going to the Empire state building. We were only to be there for a few minutes for some issues. So our visit was barely fifteen minutes. While everyone else was busy with pics, ai was busy admiring the elegance of the place. After taking a few group pictures, we went, back to our bus. We'd go back to the hotel and rest for a while, after which we would be visiting the last "educational" part of our trip.

We had 3 more hours until the next visit. I got dressed, took my jacket and went to Arohi's room. There was an empty glass of milkshake in her hand as she sat by the window. "Hey I have good news", I said. She turned around and pushed her aside. "How the fuck can she look cuter than she already is?" I asked myself.

"What's it", she asked. I got distracted by her hair. "HELLO! Earth to Arya! Respond please?"

I snapped back to my senses. "Uhh... your dad got us permission to visit the Central Park", I said. "How, she asked. "He sent a medical report that you might not..." I couldn't continue the sentence, but she understood. "Might not live long enough to go on another outing like this?" She asked. I kept quiet. "It's not that bad, at least I can enjoy it until then", she said and came closer to me. "So shall we?" She asked in the most perfect combination of cute, sweet, and romantic, and kissed me on my cheeks. "Again, with the lightning", I mumbled.

We took a cab to the park. we still had two and a half hours left, so we decided to take our time. We held hands, took a whole round around the park, made a lot of friends, played with their dogs, took nothing less than 150 photos, and returned to the hotel with just enough time to freshen up and get to the bus. On our way to the museum, we sat by the window and went through all the pictures. We played with around 5 dogs there, and Arohi cried while letting go of all five of them. Now as I had this thought, and saw her rolling on the grass with a pup in her hand, I had an idea as to what I needed to buy her for her birthday the coming week.

At the museum, we walked around the hallways looking at the sections we were interested in. The other guys rushed towards the jewels section with the girls, while I took my time in the art section. Fun fact: all art is contemporary. So the next time you have to impress a girl who happens to be an artist, just point at his/her say, "Contemporary right?"

So anyway, I walked down the hallway and saw Arohi in her black dress. As it turned out, we accidentally ended up wearing the same color top. We both wore black shirts and black pants. And the pendant brought life to her black dress and made me just jump into a well for her.

"You know, if you continue to look that stunning, they might invite you to the Met Gala this year", I told, hopelessly failing to tell it the way I imagined it in my head. "Aww. That's so sweet of you", she replied. Not the reply I was expecting.

We held hands while walking down the hallway, and somehow the teachers didn't seem to mind it at all. The boys were jealous and the girls equally excited. It's funny how people with such differences still all in love with each other. As I walked down the hall, I got a call. It was from mom. I forgot to call her in the morning. I decided I'd video call her once I go back to the hotel. For now, I just wanted to enjoy the moment.

All of a sudden someone from behind me announced "Vlog time!". Some guy was making video logs throughout the excursion. "So here we have, a new couple, madly into each other. Let's ask them how their experience has been so far. Arohi turned towards the camera. "It was an amazing experience until we were interrupted by this idiot with a camera", she said. I have to admit, I had never seen her so confident. It was like meeting a completely different person you fell for and, then falling for her too.

Our return to the hotel marked the end of our educational excursion. Tomorrow was supposed to be fun. The first half of the day would completely be spent in Greenwich City. We'd be in cafes and other exciting places to visit. After that, we go back to the rooms and rest. At sundown, we're going to Hard Rock Cafe, Times Square. But today, it's all relaxation. We decided to spend the rest of our time at the pool. We charged all our phones, My roommate kept his laptop ready, and I ordered food. LOTS of food. We needed enough for at least 32 people. Not to mention all 32 are hungry.

I ordered big macs and fries for everyone along with some smoothies. It all went perfectly. The McDonald's delivery came just when our devices were charged and we were on our way to the pool. Since we weren't allowed to carry it there (no eatables to be carried), we convinced to hotel ti serve it to us as their own. They agreed to the negotiation. We spent around 4 hours at the pool, high on the music my roomy played on his laptop. Most girls went live on their Instagram, being the perfect wannabe celebrities.

Arohi was in Ahana's live video. Ahana kept talking about how special Arohi was, and how strong she must be to be fighting cancer. Little did she know the battle was already lost.

As we all lay at the poolside, my roomy comes to me and asks, "Bro, how do you make an amazing poolside relaxation even more relaxing?". To that, we all replied in chorus, "No alcohol!"

At dinner time, we were requested to come to the dining hall wearing formals. I wore a white shirt with a red tie and a suspender.  Arohi wore a full white dress. We walked down with the rest of the group into a well-lit hall with tables for two, a self-service stand, and the view of stars on top. We served ourselves the food and took our seats below the star-lit sky.

While Arohi and I took a seat, I said, "Our first date in New York City". She looked at me. "Well, the "educational" part is over", she said. We enjoyed our dinner with small jokes and amazing food. I ruined it all with just one line: "I wish this could last forever". Arohi didn't reply to anything. She just got up and walked away. As she did, her friends looked at me and mouthed, "What happened?". I shrugged, then got up to follow her outside.

She seemed to be sobbing while sitting on the stairs. I sat next to her. "I'm sorry", she said. "Woah there, who are you?" I asked. She looked up with her red eyes. I was shocked to see no makeup washed off, but then she never wore any makeup. "You never apologized for the mistakes that you did. Now why are you apologizing after doing nothing?" I continued. She hugged me immediately after. I'll admit it, as good as it felt, it was still choking. Yet I kept quiet and put my arms around her. "I'm sorry this can't last forever", she said, with her head covered by my chest. She cried for a while, and I kept my arms around her.  She finally took time to breathe and rubbed her eyes. "I'm sorry", she said again, and it was adorable how similar she looked like a puppy. "We can enjoy it while it lasts...", I said. Her look changed. "Your words, not mine", I said, and took her to her room.

I made sure she took her medicines before I left the room. Afte which, I sat down to think about what I told her. She would be gone before I know it, and I would have to go on without her.
