𝐈𝐟 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 - 𝐁𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥

𝟢𝟤𝟧 . 𝐼𝓃 𝓌𝒽𝒾𝒸𝒽 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝓂𝑒𝑒𝓉𝓈 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓅𝒶𝓇𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓈

"So my mum and dad will be arriving soon," Ben pulled his girlfriend in for a hug as she made her coffee,
"Do I look alright?" Daisy was an absolute mess about the fact that these were the first set of boyfriends parents that she was meeting,
"Love you look amazing," he couldn't help but smile when he looked at the girl that he fell in love with,
"I think that's them," Daisy mumbled as she heard the doorbell go,
"You are going to do great please stop freaking out," Ben was trying to reassure the young girl but nothing seemed to work.

"So you must be Daisy," Ben's mum smiled as she pulled Daisy into a hug,
"Our boy tells us so much about you, she really is gorgeous Ben," Daisy smiled as she turned to see Ben groaning feeling embarrassed about what his mother had just repeated,
"So how did you two meet?" They all sat on the couch as Ben discreetly grabbed his girlfriends hand and just soothing rubbed the side of it with his thumb,
"We actually met when he played against Chelsea at Stanford Bridge, since my brother is on that team," Daisy explained as she still tried to control her breathing,
"Yea and then we were put next to each other at the Christmas lunch for the national team," Ben added as Daisy watched his mum almost connect something in her head,
"Wait she's the girl?" His mum instantly made Daisy confused as she turned to Ben,
"What girl may this be exactly?" She asked him wanting to know what exactly did he say to his mum that she was able to remember half way into the next year,
"I just told her that I met this gorgeous girl at lunch, and then found out that she was the one from the World Cup," Ben confessed as his mum shook her head,
"He went on about how there was this gorgeous girl in the cafe and how he was worried that he may never see her again for days," she added as she sipped her tea,
"Okay she wasn't meant to tell you that part," Ben sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose not wanting his mother to expose him anymore than she already had,
"I think it's cute, but I'm slightly confused why you never told me," Daisy gave Ben a quick kiss on the cheek to show him that what his mother had just said really didn't affect Daisy.

It was later on in the evening and Ben decided that he wanted to have a barbecue on the grill, which meant that whilst Ben and his dad were outside it gave Daisy time with his mum to just talk.
"Look Daisy, you seem to be a lovely girl but I do have to ask what your intentions are with Ben," Daisy respected that his mum asked her that as she assumed it was the normal thing for most parents who care about their child to ask the person they are seeing.
"Well I love Ben, I guess my intentions with him are to make him as happy as he makes me," Daisy was fully honest and she did truly mean that she hoped she could make Ben even the slightest fraction of how happy he makes her,
"Darling, you make him so happy. I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to put a ring on you and then a baby in you," Daisy knew that she wanted kids but the thought of marriage right then scared her and his mothers directness most certainly didn't help,
"I think we would wait a little before we decide to get married," Daisy confessed as she knew that it was far to early on in their relationship for marriage,
"Oh no of course, but it's just the way he looks at you. You can tell that he really does love you," Daisy now had the worlds biggest smile on her face as she listened to his mum, knowing that Ben was a mummy's boy it really did mean a lot of her to say that to her,
"I love him too," just as Daisy finished talking both Ben and his father made their way back into the kitchen,
"So what did you two talk about?" Ben asked as he wrapped his arm around the young blonde and gave her a quick kiss on the lips,
"Just about everything we dislike about you," Daisy joked as his mum smiled,
"And there's a big list son," Daisy giggled as she realized that his mum was continuing on the joke,
"Glad to find out that I'm not perfect then," Ben pretended to roll his eyes but deep down inside he was ecstatic knowing that his mum approved of Daisy.
