Dahyun isn't the type to express much of herself. She was a bubbly, cheerful, happy, positive, sweet, and caring person. Which is the reason why a lot of people love her a lot. One of those people are, Vernon. Her longtime best friend, or is that what she thinks. Ever since Dahyun accidentally spilled water on his outfit backstage at an award show, they've been in contact for years. They meet up every time they were both free. Sometimes, they'd even bring some of their members. This has been going on for around 3 years now. It's almost like a one-sided love. Vernon crushes on her, but she doesn't see it. His and her members are aware of it, so they keep convincing her that she should date him, but she says she only sees him as her best friend.

Today, they were going out once again. They planned to go to an arcade, watch a movie, and have dinner together. Every moment they spend, they cherish it. Everything they've done together is memorable, riding a zip line together, for example. As you know Dahyun is one big scaredycat, but Vernon was there to hold her hands that time. They act like how almost all couples act like. Right now, Dahyun is in a big dillema. She even had to ask 4 of her members regarding her situation. She was confused whether to wear a shirt and pair it up with shorts, or a summer dress. "Just pick one, goodness gracious! It's not like you're going to have a wedding where you'll have to wear something super special." Momo says. The other members where shocked and Dahyun was left dumbfounded with what Momo said. "What?" Dahyun says confusedly. Momo herself too, was confused. "What?" Momo asks herself as well. The members immediately laughed and tried to change the awkward topic. "Ok, Dahyun, just wear the blouse and shorts." Jihyo suggests. She ended up wearing the dress instead because she kept complaining that she didn't feel like wearing shorts, and the members were tired of it, so they just made her choose. Her manager was going to fetch her, and drop her at the mall, so she could meet Vernon.

She was already sitted inside the car, together with Nayeon, Sana, and Mina, since they were going to meet up with their boyfriends in the same mall as well. "You really have no intention to date Vernon, huh Dahyun?" Mina asks the latter while texting on her phone. "Yeah, you've been "best friends" for over 3 years now." Nayeon follows, justifying the word best friends."How many times do I have to tell you guys? We're only best friends, nothing more, nothing less." Dahyun replied. "tsk, every relationship starts with a friendship, Dahyun." Sana says in a sing-song matter. Dahyun just laughed it off and didn't think much about it. The ride in the car was only short, and the chats shared were short as well. After a few minutes, they were already in the mall, but were gathered for a few minutes. After that, the 4 separated. Dahyun was waiting for him inside the café they were supposed to meet in. Dahyun couldn't find him inside yet, so she just ordered a drink and cheesecake, and sat for a while. "Where are you? I just arrived in the mall, now I'm inside the café." Dahyun asks him via call. "I'm coming already, it's a bit traffic here that's why." Vernon explains. "Oh ok, do you want me to order something for you?" Dahyun asks him. He declined since he didn't want to trouble her, and eventually ended the call after answering some of her questions. During the time Dahyun was waiting for him, some fans spotted her and took photos with them, and gave autographs as well. But while Vernon was waiting to get there, he was being teased by his members. "Ooooh~ our Vernon is finally getting a girlfriend." Mingyu teased. "Only after she says yes" Vernon replies worriedly. "She's obviously gonna say yes. Who wouldn't want to date, the Vernon Chwe?" Wonwoo reassures him. "No, but seriously, if she won't be able to say yes later, give her some time, and eventually she'll be yours, like what happened to Jeongyeon and me." Jeonghan adviced him and gave him a warm smile.

He was now inside the mall heading to the café Dahyun is in. Once he got in, he could immediately see her since since she was blonde. Since she had her back faced on him, she couldn't see he was there behind him. So he crept up on her back and scared her. "Bwah!" Vernon said while shaking her shoulders from the back. "Ya~aish-" Dahyun says nearly cursing. Vernon laughs and takes the seat in front of her. "How did you see me? The bucket hat is covering my eyes, and my mask is covering half my face." Dahyun asks. "How could I not know it's you? We've been best friends for over 3 years now. Plus you are the only one with blonde hair in here." Vernon says while Dahyun looks around the place, and then realize she really was the only one blonde. They chatted for a bit since Dahyun was still eating inside. They were catching up with what was new, and shared short stories. "I heard that Mingyu hyung and Mina noona recently went zip lining after we suggested it to them, is it true?" Vernon asks Dahyun. "Yeah, Mina unnie didn't want to at first since she was scared, but Mingyu oppa used some kind of magic, and eventually Mina unnie agreed, and it was the first time I saw her like that, and wow this drink is good, here try some." Vernon laughed at her because one second she was talking about zip lining, the next thing you knew, she transitioned, and she was already talking about food. They were super close, that they didn't mind sharing the same straw. This was why Vernon was so worried because they were so close, that if he'd confess, she would start pushing him away, but he trusted Dahyun and knew she wasn't that type of girl.
