Soul eater chapter11: maka's mom is here!

Previously: Stein performed surgery on Maka, Crona, and Ragnarok. Soul came over to keep watch on the newborn while Stein finished up the surgery. After surgery they rest for a bit. After they quickly recover, Stein wakes them up so they can start their new lives as parents. When they wake up Soul brings them their child and Crona and Maka are very happy to finally be a family. Ragnarok emerges from the machine separated from Crona's body. He was finally a human. Crona and Maka show him their new baby and he congratulates them. Secretly Soul goes off too get the others to visit Maka and Crona so they can finally see their child.

Soul brings Kid, Liz, Patty, Black Star, Tsubaki, and even Spirit to visit them. They take turns holding crena. But Maka feels that there is something...someone... Missing. Her mother was the only person missing and she couldn't hold it in any longer. She tells Spirit she needs to speak with him. They go outside and Maka questions if her mother was even aware of her pregnancy, or if she even knew she had a girl. Spirit tells Maka that she knew about the pregnancy but had no idea about her giving birth yet. Just then, they see a woman walking towards them. A familiar woman, and to be exact, it Maka's mother. Kami Albarn.

The woman's face seemed to light up when she walked towards them. Her face was looking at Maka, not Spirit.

"Maka! Is that you?" She rushed towards them, trying not to trip.

"M-Mama!!" Maka's face lit up and she could feel her eyes moistening. She felt so overjoyed to finally see her mother.

"Oh it really is you...! Maka.. As soon as I heard about everything I did my best to get here as soon as possible. Your father," She looked over at Spirit. "Tells me you're pregnant?" She turned back to Maka.

Maka slightly blushed and shook her head.

"No Mama.. Well you see.. I was. I'm not anymore. Actually.. I gave birth to a baby girl 2 days ago." Maka smiled.

Kami smiled back and a tear rolled down her face.

"I've missed so much... I'm really sorry Maka.. You're growing up so fast.. My little girl..." She brought Maka into a hug.

Spirit stood there by himself, moving around uncomfortably.

"And... What about.. Me?" He coughed, looking down at his feet.

Kami sighed. "Spirit.. I don't really have much to say to you."

"Oh.. I.. Well.." He mumbled.

Kami sighed again and shook her head in frustration.

"Mom.. I think dad..." She looked up into her mother's hazel eyes. "Dad has something to say."

Kami looked up and over at Spirit. They hadn't seen each other since the divorce about a year or two ago. It felt a little strange.

"Kami.. I know you probably don't believe me... But.. I still love you."

Kami sighed deeper.

"I can't trust you Spirit. You know that. I came here to see Maka. To meet her weapon partner, boyfriend, and now that I have heard she has had a girl.. I'm here to see them too."

Spirit nodded while sighing sadly. "I... I see.. I understand why you don't trust me."

Kami shifted uncomfortably.

"We shouldn't be having such a deep conversation like this, right now. I'd like to meet Maka's baby, and friends."

"Alright. Hey Maka.. Could you send Stein out here?"

Maka looked at him. "Yes Papa."

"Thanks..." He stared at the sky.

Maka and Kami turned away.
