AN: Hey guys. Here's the first one! (Edit: Uh I was 15 when I wrote this first chapter. If you want to skip to later stories, please be my guest. I will post trigger warnings for specific chapters or entire stories if need be, but just know that this entire book might be triggering.

TRIGGER WARNINGS for chapters 2 and 3 of "Thanks Steve".)

Tony fell backwards onto his bed, armour and all. His head was spinning as he closed his eyes. The mission was supposed to be quick, easy. But he hadn't slept for a week before the mission, and it had really affected his game in the field.

Tony struggled to turn over, and gradually he crawled over to his pillow. The weary man reached up and took his helmet off and set it on his chest. The weight of the helmet weighed down on his chest and he was already struggling to breath. He eventually moved it to the bed and sighed, legs and arms sprawled across the bed, half asleep.

Steve walked into the room, stopped, and sighed. He couldn't hear Tony's soft snores. He folded his arms. "Tony!" When the Ironman didn't respond, Steve stormed over to Tony's side of the bed. "Tony! Get off the bed!"

Tony shot up with a worried expression. "What's wrong? What happened?" He looked around the room, looked at Steve, then closed his eyes and sank back into the comfort of the bed with his middle finger raised.

Steve's face turned red. His large hands grabbed Tony's arm and leg and pulled him off the bed, armour falling with a clatter on the floor.

Tony immediately stood up, using the nightstand as support. "Steve!?! What the hell?"

"Don't Steve me. I've been trying to get you up. And you heard me calling you, and you still pretended to be asleep."

Tony glared at Steve, still half asleep. "Steve, where was I just now?" he asked, barely above a whisper.

Steve scrunched up his nose. "How am I suppose to know? It's not like you tell me anything."

Tony shook his head. "Isn't it obvious?"

Steve looked him up and down. "Mission?"

Tony sighed. "I'm going downstairs." He walked past Steve and out of the door.

Steve followed Tony down the stairs. "Tony, you're ruining the carpets! I had them cleaned two days ago!"

"Steve stop it," Tony sighed, grabbing a pillow from a cabinet in the lab. "Seriously. Go sleep or something. It's way too early in the morning for this." Tony dropped the pillow on the floor before turning to Steve. "Look, if you want, I'll get the carpets cleaned again or wash the sheets, but seriously, go away. I need to sleep," Tony said, lying down on the floor, a pillow under his head.

Steve walked out of the lab and slammed the door shut. He knew he was totally overreacting, but he didn't know how else to show Tony he was upset with him. Little did he know how much of an impression he'd made on Tony...
