Chapter 24

It became 7:00pm and I began to wonder where my brother was. I was anxiously waiting for him. I didnt want to text or call incase (1) I didn't want him knowing about the surprise and (2) I thought that I was being paranoid. I heard another wrap at the door and since no one else seemed to get it, I got it. Thinking it was my brother, I opened the door with a huge smile on my face. It was Jerimiah. He gave me a hug.

"Hey! Hows this going?...." He asked, rubbing my tummy. I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Aw! Well listen! I think I seen your brother in a taxi, on his way here!" He said.

"Did he see you?" I asked him.

"No.....i dont think so!" He said, then he went into the living room and sat down, giving Calum a friendly high five. I turned off the music so that people could hear me.

"Okay!....everybody! Niall will be here shortly! So when I see him in the car park, everyone has to hide! Got it?" I asked them. There was a general response of 'yeah' and 'okay'. I was looking out the window for about 5 minutes untill I finally seen his tall body emerge from a taxi.

"Everybody! Hide!" I shouted turning down the music and finding a hiding place. Everyone seemed to scurry and find a hiding place very quickly. I hid beside the stairs with a few of Nialls friends. I heard the door open and Niall walked in. All of the doors were closed so he couldn't see the banners and balloons.

"Hello? Is anybody home?" He asked, dropping his grip bag onto the floor. I gestured for people to get up and the whole party just stood yo and yelled 'SURPRISE!!" Niall was so shocked. His face looked like he had just seen a ghost. I ran over to him and gave him a ginormous hug, wrapping my legs around his waist.

"In soo glad youre back Niall!" I said, crying into his shoulder.

"Me too sis! Me too!" He whispered back. I got off him and let other people say their hellos. Halfway through the party I could see that Niall was having a good time. It made me so happy that he was happy. I was just staring at him with a drink of coke in my hand when Calum came up behind me and held my hand.

"You're such a good party maker!" He said, pretending to swoon.

"I know right!" I said, in an American accent. he laughed at this and kissed my cheek.

"So when are you going to tell Niall about......you know." he said, pointing at 'the baby'.

"Tonight! Definetely!" I replied. Calum squeezed my hand a bit harder.

"Do you want me to be there with you?" He asked, his chocolate brown eyes staring into my sea blue eyes.

"No! I thinks its best if I just talk to him myself babe!" I said, rubbing his cheek. We were about to kiss again when Niall came over.

"Hey! whats going on here!" he said, sarcastically. Caluma nd I looked at eachother and smiled.

"Alright mate! How was Liverpool?!" Calum asked, shaking his hand.

"Brilliant! I'll tell you about it some other time! You cant really hear anything in here!" He said. I grabbed Niall by the hand just as he was about to walk away.

"Niall! Um.....can I speak to you upstairs for a minute?" I asked him, looking at Calum who was nodding his head.

"Sure sis! Anything!" He replied.
