Sophie

Sophie's alarm rang at 7:05am like it did every morning for the past month. She stretched and then hit the slumbering body beside her.

"Alex, get up. I have to go to work." the brown haired boy turned over to face her and opened his eyes.

"Just take today off, they won't care." he wiped his chocolate brown eyes and began to sit up. The duvet stripped away from his naked torso.

"That's not how the world of work runs, idiot." Sophie playfully slapped him and continued to grunt and groan. Alex placed light, fluttering kisses along her neck, tracing over the bruising marks he had left from last night.

"Well, I don't think your office would appreciate the state of your neck." Sophie ran wide-eyed over to her dressing table mirror, completely disregarding the fact that she was completely naked, and ran her fingers along her marks.

"You dick! I asked you to do one thing! This is going to be a nightmare to cover up..." she looked at it a few seconds more and ran back over to the bed and unplugging her phone.

"Yeah, but you loved it." Sophie hated how cheesy his words were; they made her insides churn uncomfortably.

"Hmm. Maybe. But seriously you gotta go. Olivia's going to get up soon and I have to get this covered before she sees!" Sophie felt bad about forcing her kind-of-boyfriend of 2 months out of the bed, but he knew the score by now. Alex pulled himself out of bed and searching over the room for the reminents of last nights clothes while Sophie gathered up the outfit she had picked her today before Alex came over. It was kind of liberating walking around with no clothes on, but Sophie felt comfortable enough with her body around Alex to know he wouldn't make any passive comments.

Sophie wrapped herself up in a towel and walked with Alex to the front door of her and Olivia's apartment.

"Will I see you later?"

"Hmm. Maybe, text me later?" they exchanged kisses and Alex left. Sophie turned around and saw Olivia sitting at the breakfast bar, smirking at her. Her presence was almost enough to make Sophie drop her towel. Olivia's long, black hair fell softly around her face, complimenting her soft hazel eyes. Olivia was so youthful and beautiful - even if she was verging on 26.

"Jesus Christ!! You fucking scared the shit out of me!" Sophie clutched her heart and walked towards the bathroom, she needed to hurry up if she was going to make the 8am train.

"Are you guys dating?" Olivia asked bluntly.

"Is it any of your business?"

"Actually, yeah it is. As your older sister and owner of this apartment I need to know if this guy is just some creep you bring back here or if it's someone who needs my approval."

"No, he's not my boyfriend, and I don't think I want him to be anyway." what Sophie and Alex had was great, but she wasn't ready for anything serious and in Sophie's opinion, they just didn't click. Alex had been the first guy Sophie had been with since she broke up with her boyfriend last October and he just didn't leave. Whilst they were good friends; all they had going on was sex, nothing more.

Sophie managed to slide her way into the bathroom and rejoiced at the fact Olivia never picked up on the love bites scattered around her neck when she heard a smug voice,

"Make sure you wear high coverage foundation today."

at 8:04am, Sophie was on her way into London with Olivia. Since she dropped out of Manchester Uni 4 months ago she had been desperately looking for some kind of work, and coincidentally, there happened to be an opening spot for an internship at Universal Music working alongside Olivia who was possibly one of the most highly acclaimed music producers in the UK right now. Sophie only started her internship last month, but after leaving university in October she had been living with Olivia just outside London ever since. She had learnt so much within the past month; like that Olivia's job wasn't just pressing buttons, and she had gotten to meet a lot of her favourite artists as well, (her favourite perk so far was getting a selfie with Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy - which she quickly made every profile picture she could).
