Chapter two

Tom", Tom, came a voice. Tom woke up. He yawned looking around the office space. He had a mattress on the floor and looked up at Jerrica. She smiled as he crawled to his feet.

"Yeah", he yawned. "I'm ready",

I actually had a change of heart, I have a girlfriend coming with me to my destination so I wanted to let you know that Leo is gonna call you later on",

"So why didn't you just call", asked Tom.

Han needed something from me". Anyway he has breakfast going downstairs if you want something to eat", she went out the door and down the stairs. He could hear her footsteps.

This girl is nuts he thought. He looked at his watch it was 9am.

"Ugh I don't want to be awake right now", he spoke.

He smelled bacon as he came down the stairs dressed and into the kitchen. Han was at the table. She was there as well serving food.

So as I was saying Joey is kind of irritated with me", Han laughed as Tom came in the room.

"Morning partner", said Han. He smiled at Tom. So I got a good proposal for ya today"?

Yeah what's that"? Asked Tom. He sat at the table as Jerrica brought him a plate with bacon and eggs. She had a cup of coffee already on the table. Tom grabbed it and took a big sip.

How about we get you somewhere more comfortable than that old mat above"? I got a friend of mine willing to let you sleep in her basement it's much more comfortable and you will have a parking space which is exciting. As well as I need my office for some stuff coming up,so you don't really have a choice",

Ok I guess if I don't have a choice", when we're you planning on telling me any of this"?

Just now, I wanted you to feel comfy but I really have some big stuff coming up ok"? Said Han. "Then I'll help you get another place if you want I just need you temporarily somewhere else",

"Ok,"said Tom "I get it". He started eating.

"They're all so cute at that age", said Jerrica.  Tom and Han both looked at her and realized she was talking about Paige who was playing outside with the neighbor kid. A black boy about seven as well. They were playing on the porch just outside the door with some Legos.
