The party

Turn on the music said Gianna to the DJ. She came down from the parks stage. People were drinking and having fun. The park was packed. Kids were playing on the swings and the other stuff.

Tom sat next to Han dressed in shorts and a green shirt. He was starting to sweat. The sun was going down. He felt out of place for the most part but tonight was about him and Han.

Gianna came over with a couple beers. Here let's toast to our new neighbor. She spoke looking at Tom. He grabbed some punch for himself and Han.

Thanks brother. I'm clean Gia sorry". He tapped his glass with Toms against hers and they took a drink of the punch.

So nice to meet you Tom. I'm Gianna King". I live a few blocks from here", welcome to the neighborhood". She smiled.

"Thanks Gianna. Nice to meet you,"said Tom.

So has tall dark and handsome had you in to meet some of the Ladies",

Enough flirting, Gianna, came Derek laughing. He smiled grabbing a drink. People were dancing near the makeshift stage with the DJ.

So did you do all this for me"? Asked Tom to Han.

"Heavens no, I called in a favor, so what do you think"?

It's nice said Tom. He watched Gianna dancing around with people. He caught her eye and looked away.

Yeah I wanted you to feel welcome. Han got up and said, I'm gonna dance for a bit you should come and have some fun.

"Everybody clap your hands, clap clap clap", Tom clapped with everyone and slid to the right.

And so this one time I couldn't help myself I poured the punch all over Sammy", said, Joey. He was a bit buzzed now. The people around him laughed as he layed another card down. And the next person next to him played his card. Han had invited him over to watch.

Hey Joseph this is my brother Tom. Said Han.

Hey Tommy boy, nice to meet you brother", Said Joey. He shook his hand and picked up the bowl of winnings as his deck won. Han has told me about you". Said Joey.

"Nice things i hope". Said Tom. He smiled. "Good to meet you".

Later.

Tom was sitting at the side bar drinking a glass of tequila. Jerrica sat down next to him.

"Hey Tom haven't seen you all night. Hows the party"? Asked Jerrica.

"It's interesting. I guess I never was one to really party much". He spoke. He could hear music behind him.

"Yeah, so hey would you want to skip out and come with me"? Asked Jerrica.

"Where would we go to"? Asked Tom. He looked behind him at Han laughing next to Derek and Jean.

"I want to go tag some stuff", she smiled. "Just up the hill into town".

Ok said Tom. "I'm kind of bummed anyway".
