study time | five

*ೃ:.✧✲゚*

i mopped the floors of the gym, trying to hurry before tsukishima left without me. after getting home yesterday, tsukishima had texted me saying how he would be helping hinata and kageyama before practice, so he had to help me out of school.

which meant we were going to his house. i was still surprised that he had actually agreed to helping me study. as i finished up mopping, i quickly put it away, then changed back into my uniform.

i had caught tsukishima right outside the school grounds, his headphones on while standing out there, waiting for me.

"wow, i'm surprised you waited for me." i said, panting after running trying to catch up.

"i kind of have to, don't i?" he said, continuing to walk. i didn't reply as we kept walking. once we finally arrived at tsukishima's house, i stopped outside of the door.

"why'd you stop?" he asked, about to open the door.

"what if your mom doesn't let me in or something?" i said, being paranoid about the smallest things, yet they seemed like the biggest problems to me.

"calm down. you're overthinking too much." he said, opening the door, and taking off his shoes once he got inside. i followed after and did the same. then, i heard footsteps coming closer.

"you're home kei. oh, who's this?" tsukishima's mom asked. i stood up beside tsukishima as he slowly went to his room while talking.

"a friend. i'm helping her study." he said curtly, then leaving. i bowed to his mother, then quickly followed after tsukishima. stepping into his room, the first thing that caught my eye was a collection of dinosaur plushies.

"aw, tsukishima owns plushies? never saw that coming." i cooed, looking at his collection. i could hear him sigh, then i felt a yank on my arm.

"you came here to study, not look at that." he muttered. i took out my notebook and pencil with homework worksheets and study guides. tsukishima had taken out his own homework, and started on his.

he would help me with problems i didn't understand and help me get the formula correct.

"but how is that not X?" i groaned, covering my face in my hands in frustration. Tsukishima sighed as he grabbed my notebook to see my solving process.

"wow, you really are stupid." tsukishima sneered, laughing at what you had written. i quickly took back the notebook, then looked at my solving process as well.

"what did i mess up on?" i mumbled, scanning the page. tsukishima scooted closer to me, then pointed at one minor mistake.

i had said 11-10=11. (yes this happened to me irl it was embarrassing nd it happened in front of my crush)

"oh my god!" i exclaimed in embarrassment. tsukishima must really think i'm stupid.

"how'd you mess up on 11-10? that's like first grade math!" tsukishima teased, making fun of me.

"shut up! that was an accident, i'm not that stupid!" i said, turning red. tsukishima had ignored me, and kept making fun of me.

"you're so mean." i grumbled, crossing my arms and furrowing my eyebrows.

a few days of our mini study sessions passed by. as i continued to be 'tutored' by tsukishima, the closer we grew.

it went from throwing a pillow or two at each other, from me stealing his glasses or taking pictures of myself on his phone, and him continuously flicking me on the forehead.

"ow, tsukishima! why do you keep doing that." i whined, holding my forehead. i could already feel the red mark forming.

"because you need to get your brain working, you shrimp." he smirked, watching me whine in pain. i quickly grabbed one of his pillows, then threw it at his face, knocking his glasses off. stealing his glasses, i ran to the separate corner of his room.

"y/n! give me my glasses back." he said, standing up and walking towards me to get them. i tried running, but he had quickly grabbed my arm, then tugged me so that i was inches away from his face.

"my glasses, please?" tsukishima said in a low voice.

"fine. only because you said please." i grumbled, handing it back to him while still disappointed that i couldn't get back at him.

"my forehead still hurts tsukishima!" i said, walking back over to him. he looked at me, then at the red mark on my forehead.

"is someone being whiny about a little boo-boo?" tsukishima mocked, ruffling up my hair.

that 'little' shit.
