i tapped my pencil on my notebook, not paying attention in school. it had been about a week since we had left the training camp. school was boring, yet even worse than usual.

the first day i had came back, i had an encounter a few people i never thought i would see again.

i pressed the button on the vending machine as i got my juice. turning around, i was then faced with three girls, all with a nasty smirk on their face.

"can i help you?" i muttered, trying to back up.

"don't you remember us, y/n?" the girl in the middle had said. then, it clicked in my head. it was the group of girls back when i was in middle school who had dropped me, then ridiculed me. i did not want to deal with this today, or ever.

"didn't know you went to this school, suzuki." i said, looking down.

"well, i guess we can continue what we had done back in middle school, can't we?"

and from that point on, they had been bothering me this whole week. i never told anyone, and i wish i could. even if i tried staying in my classroom, they always stopped by, acting like my friends to my other classmates. i always went along with it, not wanting to cause a scene.

the bell rang, signaling our break. i sighed, putting away my notebook and pencil pouch. then, i heard a loud voice.

"hey y/n! come on!" suzuki loudly said in the fakest friendly voice she could do. i hesitantly got up, then walked over to them.

as we went outside next to the vending machine, they stood around me, making sure nobody else was around. the next bit was a blur, but it resulted in many scratches and wounds on my hands and my arms.

they had finally left, leaving me sitting on the floor, tears spilling quietly. then, i heard footsteps coming as i tried to cover my face.

"y/n? why are you sitting on the floor?" a familiar and monotonous voice said. i couldn't show my face, so i didn't answer and didn't face him.

"what the hell, how did you get all these." tsukishima said, looking at all my wounds.

"i'll be right back." tsukishima said, jogging somewhere. i hadn't responded or anything, but he had come back quickly with a mini first aid kit.

"care to explain what happened?" tsukishima said, taking out bandaids and cotton swabs. i had slowly explained everything to tsukishima while he had put on band aids to where it was needed.

"do i need to watch over you 24/7?" tsukishima said, looking at me in the eyes.

"no!" i stammered in embarrassment. tsukishima only stared, then shook his head. he then held his hand out to help me up.

"thank you, tsukishima."
