Formula 1- One Shots

Max Verstappen- I am so Sorry Brother

So this One Shot, is about Max having another sister. You start in the view of Autumn, who has long, curly red hair and bright green eyes. She is a character that I have made up. I hope you enjoy 😊

Max has had a really crap race and I couldn't do anything about it  as his sister. I was really worried about everything. The team was mad because he had hit is teammate and there was nothing, I could do nothing to help my brother.

Max's View:
I was stood in front of many interviews asking me questions about what happened for me to hit my teammate, asking did you do it on purpose. But I couldn't answer any of them, my heart was beating out of my chest. I could fell it getting harder to breathe, but they didn't know that. They didn't know that, they were making me feel like this.
After the race:
I knew I had screwed Daniel's race up. I knew that it was all my fault. It was a weekend that we were supposed to be really strong on. We had qualified 3rd and 4th, as we made a few mistakes in the last part of qualifying. And then I go and lock up, run wider than I should have and crashed into Daniel. The number one rule of Formula 1 is never crash into your teammate. I broke that rule. Not only did I break that rule I took him out of the Grand Prix and went and came third, when as a team we could have beat both Mercedes. But I crashed into Daniel. The team was made at me and I am not surprised, I knew it was my fault and I had screwed everything up.
I knew my lovely sister was watching with her red hair and her green eyes. I knew she didn't want to see me upset. I knew that it would just ruin her weekend, but I also knew when she knew something was wrong.

Autumn's View:
I could see how Max hated being in front off all those cameras when he had just had the worse race of his life. I wanted to run up there and give him a sisterly hug, but I couldn't. Nobody knew about me, I was living in the shadows. I hated being put in front of cameras and because they didn't know me as Max's sister. I would be assumed as another girlfriend.
I watch as Max completed his interviews and walked back towards the hospitality.
"Maxie," I said, using my nickname I gave him when we were little, "Are you ok?"
"No, Autumn. I want to go back and re-do this race. Do everything different."
"I'm sorry, little bro, but that's not how life works. We have to learn from the mistakes we make and that's what I know you are going to do."
"But.....nothing went the way I wanted it to and I ruined my own teammates race."
"I am so sorry, brother, but those things happen sometimes. Plus the team will forgive you. I just know it."
"You are always right, big sis"
