"Are you certain it's fine for us to reguard you by your first name?"
A gentle smile crept up her face as she nodded her head. Giving the homeroom teacher, as well as her new classmates the reassurance they need. The girl infront started to walk down the aisle to give way to another introduction by someone else. As she did so, murmurs could be heard from the rest.
"Does she expect us to think her hair is natural?"
"She's a 12/10. I dare you to get her number."
"She may look stunning but we'll see if she belongs in this class."
She would be lying if she said words like these didn't bother her. Trying her best to brush this aside, her gaze dropped to the floor where a pen was lying. She bent over to pick it up, and assuming he was the owner, she put it on his desk. Looking up at the same time, her deep blue eyes met light honey like ones that emitted nothing more than emptiness. Which made her a bit uneasy. But after a second of looking, he gave her a curt nod breaking tha contact. Slowly, she sat down on her desk behind him. She faced the window outside, giving a soft sigh, faith not faltering as she hoped for a fresh start here at Karasuno.
"I guess we'll see how this goes." She muttered to herself as she turned her attention back infront.
The bell rang. Indicating that it was now time for lunch. She was about to bring out her bento box prepared by her sister until she was hit by the realization that she had forgotten it at home.
"Ne-san wake up! Wake up! Kiyoko-san said that we're going to leave you if you don't get ready soon." After finishing the sentence and finally giving up, the loud knocking on the door suddenly stopped as footsteps were heard running down the stairs, the noise fainting.
"Mmhmm." She let out a soft groan as she lazily untangling herself from the blanket and sat up. Her eyes fluttering open as she strecthed her arms and pushed the stands of her dark hair out of her face. She knew she needed to leave the comfort of her bed as it was time for school.
..
.
.
"Oh shit"
The realization hit her like a slap on the face. It was the first day of school and she forgot to set her alarm. She quickly ran around the room rushing her routine while two of her siblings were downstairs, eating breakfast, one of them grinning for which they can hear the loud noise made by her catching up.
Not that it was a big deal to her, she fumbled through her bag and brought out the book she was currently reading. She left the classroom and wandered off out the building, with hope to find a quiet area for reading. She turned to a corner spotting a vending machine next to a bench. She fished out something from her pocket and got herself chocolate milk before sitting down and taking a sip from the straw.
"Mmm chocolate." She whispered to herself as she continued reading in delight of her favorite drink. In fact she was too indulged into reading that she didn't notice a raven haired boy also getting his drink out of the machine until it made a dropping sound as it released a milk. Unintentionally, she raised her head and stared into an amazing pair of blue orbs. But there was something more. They looked like she's met them before. She didn't want to be rude by staring so she lowered her sight, reading once more. But the boy in front of her gave her an analyzing look and only had one thought on his mind. 'Is that you?'
Once again, the bell rang indicating that classes were done for the day. She packed her stuff and decided to get herself another chocolate milk when she bumped into one of her classmates by the doorway making her fall on her bottom.
"Sorr-" her words were cut off by the freckled boy infront of her. She recognized him as his seat was close to hers.
"No, no, I'm sorry. I rushed to get back in and- I'm sorry." He pushed himself up and held out his hand. Which she took with a warm smile, making the boy infront of her flustered.
"I guess I was blocking your way instead of the other way around then." She teased. The freckled boy started to protest with a crazy blush when she let out a soft chuckle and told him that they were both at faults.
"If you're done taking your time then let's go Yamaguchi." A tall, no a really tall blonde which she also didn't remember the name said. He was standing at the doorway looking bored as she noticed he was the owner of the honey like eyes behind the glasses he was wearing. He started walking away while Yamaguchi was left trailing behind him.
After the short incident she looked for her younger sister first, as she was also a first year. No they weren't twins, she was born in January while her sister in December. Although that didn't change the fact that they were as close as twins could get.
Walking through the hallway she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see a brown haired guy towering over her nervously as he tried to find the words. 'So tall' she thought. She waited patiently until the guy started scratching his head and pulled out a note instead. She took it from his hands and was about to open it when the guy quickly turned around and walked away in a quick pace. Not uttering a single word. Assuming what she thought was in the letter, she placed it in her bag and continued walking until she spotted a silver haired girl with raven strands here and there that was sprinting towards her, tackling her in a hug that made the both of them drop to the ground, giggling. Good thing there weren't much people in their building left or this could have been quite embarrassing.
"How was your first day Kohana?" She asked her sister as she gently pushed her off to stand up.
"It was like a regular first day One-sann!" Kohana said loudly. Jumping up and fixing her bangs. "Although I received a lot of questions as to why my hair is like this. I don't mind at all though!" She added.
"I've also been getting looks but the people in my class aren't quite er, friendly." They started walking together as they left the building.
"They're just jealous. Smart people, am I right? Uh no offense."
Giving out a sigh she replied, "None taken. Too bad they had to divide the students this way. Anyway, what do you say we get some milk and if we find Kiyoko-san we could go home together." Kohana nodded while giving her a very toothy grin.
Walking to the vending machine they embraced the view in front of them, the simple white buildings arranged around the area as well as the smaller ones for other purposes, the sun giving off its last few hours of light for the day on top of the trees surrounding them and their new school.
They got their milk and was about to turn the other direction when a raven haired girl a few inches taller than her walked steadily towards a building she guessed was one of the school's gym based on the structure.
Kohana seeing this too, grabbed her by the wrist practically dragging her towards the direction of the girl, making her drop her milk in the process. They turned a corner and stopped in their tracks when they saw that the girl, Kiyoko was chatting with a short boy with bright orange hair and if she remembered correctly, the blue eyed boy from lunch. After this, Kiyoko walked into the gym making Kohana drag her once again in attempt to catch up with Kiyoko. Pushing the door open...
"KIYOKO-SAN" Kohana blurted out once they stepped foot inside. The poor girl beside her panting while clutching her bag.
Kiyoko turned around seeing two familiar faces. She gave them a small smile gesturing her hands for them to enter. Once they did she said,
"Meet the Volleyball club."
