Promises
"Promises are meant to be broken,"
most of us say.
Rumors sometimes proves its true.
Often said during happy times
but when sadness strikes, they're forgotten.
Memories of the past sometimes cause us to break a promise
for it says that it's not worth keeping a promise anyway,
it only makes you regret at the end
realizing you fulfilled a promise just to impress people
instead of doing it for yourself.
Indeed, promises are really broken
only if it's not you who's gonna fulfill it
or it'll destroy you.
"Sorry, I can't."
No. You can, it's just that you're afraid
that you'll fail in fulfilling it.
Each promise means a lot to someone else life
and it's really frustrating once it was not fulfilled.
Imagine? You even sacrifice something,
hoping that the promises will be fulfilled
yet you gain nothing but disappointment.
Sometimes, well can be always,
we promise to ourselves random things
but end up just always saying the same promises.
We just created a sea of broken promises
and most of them are promises for ourselves.
Who to blame?
For me, it's my mindset.
