Chapter 12: Finding Juvia

Gray yawned as he took a seat next to Cana, who was (obviously) drinking.

"You need to stop." Gray said snatching the bottle out of her hands.

"But I wanna," she whined, reaching for the bottle.

"Real men drink!"

Gray sighed in defeat as he gave Cana back her drink.

Porlyuscia came in and handed a letter to Gray.

"You got a letter from the queen of Fiore!" she said, eyes widened.

Everyone froze.

Did Erza get caught? Did Mira get in trouble?

Gray seemed to be to be the only one unfazed. His brain didn't care, but his eyes said otherwise.

Everyone gathered around him as he slowly opened the envelope...

Erza tried to sleep. She really did. 

It was just that-- something was bothering her. Her mind was foggy.

She stepped out of her bed, and stumbled outside to get a glass of water. As she was walking, she could have sworn she had heard footsteps. She breathed a sigh of relief, since she had worn her armor before heading out. She hid behind a wall, and waited. A cloaked figure speed walked past her.

"Halt!" she said drawing her sword.

The person groaned. Erza raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"Speak to no one of this," the familiar voice said, tossing a bag of coins at her.

"Jellal?" she said in surprise. "What are you doing?"

He took off his hood and squinted at her. "I could ask you the same thing."

"W-well I was just going to get a drink of water," Erza defended.

"Also, I think it's Prince Jellal?"

"Just get to the point!"

Jellal sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "I'm looking for Juvia."

Erza's eyes widened. "Didn't she... y'know..."

"They never showed us a body. I think, no, I know she's out there."

Erza tilted her head to the side as if she was thinking. "I'm coming with you."

"What? No! I don't have time for-"

"I'll come down in a second!" Erza said rushing back to her room.

"Ugh, I didn't ask for this!" Jellal groaned.

Erza hid a smile.
