"How was work" Dave ask as I get in the truck
"Good, kind of boring though. No one really came in" I reply opening a few text.
"You okay now? You seemed worried before you left today?" He says looking at me then looking down to my phone
"Jus worries about you guys" I say honestly.
"Whatchu mean?" He scrunches up his face
"I don't want you guys to do something you're going to regret" I say looking at him
"Don't worry ma, we got it all under control"
"Oh yeah? What did you guys do?"
"Don't worry about it" he says changing lanes
"Tell me" I insist
"Nah it's okay" he says gripping my thigh as we pull up to my house.
"Are you coming inside?" I ask
"Yeah I'll come" he says unbuckling his seat belt
"Oh shit the light is on" my dad is most likely passed out on the couch so it's probably my mom. "Okay I'll go inside and just climb through my window"
"What, my nigga? You want my grown ass to crawl through your window?" He looks at me like I'm crazy
"Do you want to spend time with me or not?"
He thinks for a moment "fine, I'll park down the street though"
I leave his truck and watch him drive down the street.
"Mama?" I call out as I open the front door and see my father passed out on the couch
"In here baby" she yells from her room
"Hey whatchu doing still up?" I ask giving her a hug
"Had to see you come home before I went to sleep" she smiles warmly
"Alright I'm home now go to sleep. You need it. Night, I love you" I kiss her on the forehead
"I love you too savvy" she says just before I close her bedroom door
I speed walk down stairs and see Dave crouching down by my window. I slide it open and help him climb in my room
"Shush you're making to much noise" I laugh
"Well if you didn't have a nigga climbing through a window this wouldn't happen" and I start laughing like crazy "nigga you're being loud now" he smiles
"Got me acting like a teenager" he picks me up and throws me on the bed
"I can't believe your big ass climbed through my window like some teen movie type of shit" I giggle from under him
"Only for you ma" he grins widely and kisses my on the cheek
I cup his cheeks "You're so beautiful" I blurt out then start laughing
"Beautiful? Nah shorty I'm handsome" he say cocking his head back
"Yes, you're my handsome boyfriend" and he grins widely "mhmm boyfriend" I say liking that word roll off my tongue. "Better let all your other hoes know"
"Shorty I don't got no hoes" he says and I squint my eyes at him "no more"
"Good because I want you all to myself" I start kissing his neck.
"You got me shorty. Always" he kisses my lips
"Baby stop" I moan. I really did need to get ready for bed
"Mmm I like it when you call me baby" he smirks on my lips
"I have to get ready for bed" I say completely ignoring what he said
"Alright alright. But when you have a day off? You working like a dog up in here" he says getting off me
"Um I don't know. I can maybe call in sick Saturday? It's normally not too busy" I suggest going into the bath room to do my night routine
"Aight it'll just be a me and you day" he says taking off his shirt and jeans
"Like a date?" I smirk
"If that's what you wanna call it then sure ma, a date. Now get your ass in bed" he says getting comfortable
"I'm coming. You know it's a lot of work to look like me" I joke
"It's a lot of work to look like me too!" He argues as I get in bed next to him
"Really? You look like you haven't re braided your hair in months" I laugh
"Man fuck off" he pats down his frizzy hair
"Nah I'm jus playing baby" I use his nickname. "I can braid it for you if you want" I play with the ends of his braids
"Maybe Friday so I can look fresh for our date?" He suggest
"So it is a date!" I grab his face and start kissing him all over.
"Yeah it's a date so dress sexy" he pulls me closer to him and grabs my butt
"You know I've only been on one other date in high school" I say
"For real? With your fine ass I thought them high school boys would be jumping at you"
"Nah, it was horrible though. Chase and Shane shook him so much before he was trembling the whole time" I laugh
"Don't worry shorty I'm make sure you have a good time" he says kissing my deeply
"I'm sure you will" I say kissing him back
Every question and doubts I have about Dave completely flew out the window as soon as he smiled at me.
Something about him just keeps me hooked in. And he clouds my thoughts every minute of the day. Which I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing.
Sometimes I feel like we're moving too fast and being reckless. And days like this I feel like we're moving perfectly fine.
But I have to get a reality check. I can't be sneaking around with Dave for our whole relationship. It doesn't work like that
We will have to break the news to Shane soon. And I would like it sooner than later.
I want to show him off. Let everyone know that he's my boyfriend but I can't do that if we're a secret.
But then again I have to think about how Shane will feel. I know for a fact he will be upset. Well who wouldn't? Your friend that you introduced to your family and brought into your inner circle, is sleeping with your little sister. Yeah that will not go down well.
I just hope whatever happens, Dave and I will make it through. Because there's no going back for me. I'm in deep and there's no way I'm going back up.
