Chapter 13

Jody's POV
Today, we dropped Isla the baby at the Dumping Ground. I need to go food shopping, and Tyler has a job interview. Sid and Taz volunteered to look after her. "Right, in this bag, it has nappies, breast milk, bottles, dummy and her toy, Dr Octopus," I said to them before I left. Dr Octopus is Isla's favourite toy. She was given him as a present from my big brother, her uncle, Luke.

Taz's POV
Looking after Isla will be so fun! I can't wait to play with her toy with her and feed her. But no changing nappies. That can be Sid's job.
"Come on Isla. Do you want your dummy?" I ask her. She doesn't reply.
"Do you want to play with Fred?" Sid asks her. He then moves Fred closer in, but May-Li steps in, " Be careful. Don't let Isla play with Fred. He has too many small parts on him that could come loose and she could choke on. Let her play with Dr Octopus instead, " She tells us. But when it comes to feeding time, it's not easy. Isla refuses to drink her bottle, and starts screaming which upsets everyone. "Why can't she have toast like us?" Jay asks, with a mouthful of it. "Because she hasn't got any teeth yet, it's too big for her to chew and she could choke," I tell him, " How did you get into Queen Matilda's? "
"I thought babies were like puppies. They were born with all their teeth, and can eat anything they want," He replies, which is so stupid.
"Does she look like a dog?" Sasha asks him, completely deadpan.

" May-Li, can we watch this film? It's about alien zombies invading the earth. Can we please? " Bird asks. Stupidly, she lets him.
"Will you shut that creepy baby up?" Bec storms in.
" I'm trying, " Sid says. Isla's wailing her head off. "Jody, please come back for her!" Sid begs. Right on cue, someone knocks at the door. It's her mummy. " Hello Isla! Has she been good? " Her lovely mother asks.
"No she has not been. She screamed her head off and refused to eat. Then Jay asked if she was a dog, and from then on it went downhill," Bec answers. Who asked for her opinion? "Well we'd better get this little one home. It smells like she needs changing," Jody then says. " Actually, that was me, " Jay simply replies. He is disgusting.
