Klaus' minions provided him a thorough report on the whereabouts of the people he was targeting. Klaus now knew their destination. In London, the warlock was getting himself ready to ambush them. He changed into a different figure, a gray-haired man around 50 years old, dressed in a fine suit. Klaus was an investor that employed many financial analysts; actually, they were all Basnets that bought him shares from several companies. So, in the future, Klaus was one of Europe's most famous businessmen, and his companies had branches in the United States and emerging countries.

At the headquarters of the Magic Invest Company, located on Oxford Street, in the heart of London, Mr. Edward Rizzoni, Klaus' false name, closed his office's door. Then, he looked at Samantha and caressed her face. His secretary was a witch. Like all the employees at Magic Invest, she was also a dead Basnet brought to life. The couple was leaning against the table. He looked into her brown eyes as he kissed her lips. In a rush of desire, with his right hand, he pushed aside the papers and objects on the table behind the woman; then he laid her down without taking his lips off hers. He undressed the gorgeous witch. He loved to see that she was wearing a black underwear beneath her secretary apparel. The laces enhanced the curves of her body.

"I've never seen a woman as gorgeous as you are, Sam! I could live for centuries having you by my side."

"Master, I adore the way you love me. I never thought I would ever speak such romantic words..."

They made love insanely, while hundreds of people in the building worked to make Klaus' capital grow exponentially. Klaus' trick was to send his followers to the future, so that they would know in advance which stock price would rise in the coming years. A gold mine he never thought possible until he reached that time. The perfect tool to nurture his ambitions.

After making love to Samantha, Klaus dismissed her.

"You can go now..."

"I don't understand. You said you wanted me to stay by your side."

"Oh, my sweet angel... You know... Sometimes we get carried away by the heat of the moment. Now get out, will you? I have more important things in my agenda."

Behind the curtain, a black smoke materialized into a tall man in a black suit with dark blue tie. He wore a big mustache.

"I'd love to live these moments like you do, master. But I believe that you should treat women better. I'm afraid they'll despise you, master, if you don't treat them kindly."

"How dare you to give me advices on how I should live my life? And why do you keep spying on me behind the curtains, Fratello? If you want a woman, you should do your best with the body that you have. I've already done a spell allowing you to become anything you want."

"All I want is to love a woman and to be loved in return."

Klaus laughed.

"I can't believe that you said that. You want to be a human? Just because of momentary pleasures? Do not believe in this farce that love exists. It's just nonsense! Enjoying the taste of a woman's flesh is more than enough." Klaus looked at him with piercing dull eyes.

"I've observed the way humans live for all eternity. My greatest desire is to be one of them. I want to feel the pain of a wound, the heat of a warm breeze, taste the savory food that so many times you insist in sharing with others, to smell a woman's perfume when she wants to seduce someone. I want to listen to the musics you love so much, dance with my face close to a woman who could really make me love."

"Oh, wouldn't you like to become a father, too? Picture yourself and a little Doppelgänger clinging to your pants asking for your lap," said Klaus, laughing. He was clearly mocking his partner in crime. "I saw you killing hundreds of these miserable creatures, and now you want to become one of them? I think that living through the centuries is driving you crazy. At the very least, it's softening your dark soul. All this mumble will get you nowhere. Stay by my side. Together we will be the owners of the world."
