8. "Pa"

"So why do you have toys in your house?" Jungkook asked as Jin brought out a basket full of toys and threw them on the floor. Jimin, who had been playing with Junha, immediately picked him up and sat on the floor next to the toys. Taehyung and Hoseok joined him as well. 

"Namjoon and I are adopting a kid. He is three years old" Jin said. "Whatttt??!?!" Jimin exclaimed. "Wooowww" Yoongi said. "When?" Hoseok asked. "Ohh, Junha can have a friend now" Jungkook said. 

"Soon. We are yet to get the letter" Namjoon said, beaming from ear to ear.

"Yeahh" Jin said. "Actually, we also have an announcement to make" Yoongi said. "What is it?" Jungkook asked. "We got engaged" Jimin said, showing his ring. Yoongi grinned as he lifted his hand to show his ring as well. "Woooohhhoooooo Congrats!!!!" all of them yelled and hugged the couple. Junha got excited from all the sounds and started yelling and jumping as well. 

Taehyung chuckled as he noticed the kid yelling and jumping on his own and went to him. "Do you wanna dance with me?" he asked as he squatted to match Junha's height. Jungkook, who noticed Taehyung going towards his son, stopped hugging Jimin and Yoongi and turned to look at the two of them. Junha shook his head. "Pa" he said. Jungkook gasped and ran to Junha. 

"What?? What did you say??" he asked with wide eyes. Everyone noticed Jungkook running to Junha and stopped yelling among themselves to look at the three of them. "Pa" Junha said, reaching out to poke his father's cheek. 

Everyone gasped. That was officially Junha's first word that actually made sense to them. Jungkook, who was squatting in front of him, fell back and pressed his hands to his eyes tightly. A sniff followed soon and Jimin and Yoongi rushed to pat him. 

It was as if all the emotional pressure he had felt for the past three years had erased with just that word. Jungkook controlled himself with much difficulty, determined not to cry in front of his son. He removed his hands and wiped his tears away, but Junha noticed the tears in his eyes, which immediately weighed his lips down.

"You wanna dance with me? Let's go" Jungkook immediately said, lifting him up and placing his hands under his armpits in such a way that the rest of his body was left dangling in the air. Namjoon immediately played a few rhymes and Jungkook swayed his son according to the rhythm. 

He was too happy and didn't know how long he could control his tears. After swaying his hips along with the rhyme for a while, Taehyung took Junha and Jungkook ran to the washroom. Yoongi ran behind him. He found him crouched on the bathroom floor with his head between his knees. 

"Jungkook-ah" he said as he sat down beside him and patted his back. "S-She would have wanted to hear t-that, hyung" he cried. "I know. But we can't do anything now, can we? She is gone. Stop crying now, and go back to Junha before he starts searching for you. Be happy for your son's first speech. Don't be sad, okay?" Yoongi said. 

Jungkook nodded and splashed a bit of water on his face. "I'll treat you guys to dinner tomorrow in the evening to celebrate my son's first word" he said as he came out and took Junha back from Taehyung. He kissed him on his forehead and his cheeks before pointing to his own cheeks. 

Junha grinned a half-toothed grin before leaning forward and placing a huge wet kiss on Jungkook's cheek. And soon, everyone started asking him for one and Jungkook wiped his kiss off when Junha was too busy complying to others' wishes. 

"Okaiie, so dinner's ready. Shall we eat?" Namjoon asked. "Yeahh" everyone said and ran into the kitchen along with Junha, who shrieked as he ran without a reason. "I'll feed him" Jimin and Taehyung said at the same time. 

"You go on. I have done it many times" Jimin said immediately. "Thanks" Taehyung said and looked at Jungkook, who immediately let Taehyung take Junha from his lap. 

"So you were in Daegu till now?" Yoongi asked Taehyung, who was in the middle of feeding Junha a small bit of plain rice. "Yeah. I wanted to finish my PhD peacefully" Taehyung said. "So you didn't come to Seoul after their marriage?" Yoongi asked. "No. I was too busy with PhD and other stuff" Taehyung answered. 

"Ahaan. You were doing MTech when you came for the wedding, right?" Jimin asked. "Yeah. Hoseok-ssi, you weren't there at the wedding, were you?" Taehyung asked. "No, no. I met them recently. Around a year and a half ago" Hoseok said. "Ohh. How did yo-" Taehyung was cut off by a snort from Namjoon. 

They frowned at him and followed his eyes which were looking at a frustrated Junha. The poor kid was frustrated by the fact that Taehyung had been holding a spoon of rice in front of his mouth for the past five minutes without actually putting it in his mouth. Namjoon had snorted when Junha bent forward to take it on his own and Taehyung pulled the spoon backward unknowingly. Junha leaned back with glistening eyes and a huge pout on his face.

"Ommo! Sorry, sorry, sorry. Here" Taehyung instantly put the spoon into Junha's mouth and Junha finally relaxed his expression. Jungkook chuckled at them. "He really gets upset when someone forgets him while feeding him" he said. "Ohh! I am soo sorry, baby!!" Taehyung said, pouting to make a bigger effect. 

Junha stared at Taehyung with wide eyes before reaching out to push Taehyung's lower lip inside. All of them burst out at that and Junha joined in, clapping his hands happily, feeling proud of himself for whatever he had done to make all of them laugh. 

Jungkook had been very embarrassed to talk to Taehyung in the starting because of all the stuff that he had talked about him, but Taehyung seemed to be an easy going guy. 

He behaved as if Jungkook never said anything about him. That made him loosen up a bit, and as the night went, he totally forgot everything about being embarrassed. 

In fact, for a second, he even forgot that this was his teacher. A very scary teacher.  

They spent the night enjoying each others' presence, the center of attraction being Junha, who literally took it upon himself to entertain all of them by telling them hundreds of stories that no one ever understood. But the claps and laughs that he received from all of them made him feel very great. 

"Okay. So let's go for bowling tomorrow. After bowling, I'll treat you guys dinner" Jungkook said before leaving. He was carrying an extremely sleepy Junha who was trying his best to keep his eyes open because of the people around him. 

"Okaiie! We'll all come on our own. We'll meet at six, okay?" Yoongi said. "Yeahh, okay" they agreed and left on their own ways.
