47. Grad party

The week passed by in a jiffy and Jungkook was already sitting along with his college friends and the other friends in the auditorium with his graduation suit on. 

His parents and Junha were sitting in the row behind them along with Dohyeon and Jeongyeon while he sat in front of them with all of his friends. Yeonjun, Soobin and Kai's parents sat behind them as well, along with their siblings. 

Taehyung was on the stage along with the other teachers. He looked at them and waved slightly before noticing one of the teachers walking up to the mic. 

"Hello...." she cleared her throat. "Hello, everyone and welcome to the MTech and MBA graduation ceremony for the batch 2018-2020. Students, I want you to take your seats without making much noise so that we can start it right away" she said. 

"All the best!" Jimin cheered as Jungkook, Yeonjun, Soobin and Kai got up to take their designated seats in the front rows in alphabetical order. 

For a second, the whole auditorium boomed with noise as all the students came forward to take their seats. The noise died out soon and the teacher continued. 

The procession was too slow. "Well done, guys. Next row. Heo Hae Soo, Ho Shi Yeon, Hun Tae Jin, In Guk Doo, Jang Ji Hu, Jeon Dae Shin, Jeon Jungkook and Jung Ji Eun" she announced. 

The eight of them got up and the procession began again. Jungkook, as usual, topped the batch, earning a merit certificate along with his graduation certificate. They turned back and showed their certificate to the camera and bowed to the audience before starting to walk down. 

Jungkook noticed the whole row of his friends along with his parents at the back standing up to cheer for him. He chuckled as Junha suddenly yelled 'PAPA', making the whole hall chuckle heartily. 

Soon, he was hugging everyone and smiling widely, happy that he had done it. His parents left him with his friends, saying that he could treat them later. 

Yeonjun, Soobin and Kai had been friends since their undergraduate days and didn't have any other friends. Thus, they joined Jungkook's friends in the party. 

All of them went to a restaurant and took up a monstrous table. The four of them decided to split the bill among themselves as it seemed fair since the four of them were graduating. 

The dinner was very very noisy. Junha, Dohyeon and Jeongyeon were in their own world as the adults talked to each other. Jungkook was busy talking to Yoongi and Kai when Junha suddenly cried out. 

"What's wrong?" Jungkook and Jin asked at the same time. "Jeo'yeonie bitin' me" Junha complained loudly. Yeonjun cooed at him while everyone except Yoongi and Jimin chuckled. Jimin got up and walked up to the kids. 

"Jeongyeon-ah, biting is bad, okay? No biting. No. Okay?" he said, and she nodded at her father innocently. "Also you guys, she is younger than you, right? You should take care of your sister, right? Don't fight with her, okay?" he said. 

"But she bitin' me" Junha protested while Dohyeon nodded vigorously. "Junha..." Jungkook called sternly. Junha turned to him. "Don't give her the chance to bite you. What did you do?" he asked. 

"I pinch her" Junha said in a small voice. "And is pinching good?" Jungkook asked. Yeonjun, Soobin and Kai exchanged surprised looks. They never saw Jungkook behave stern or strict. "No" Junha said, pouting and looking down. "Look at me" Jungkook said, making him raise his head. 

"Say sorry" Jungkook said. Junha pouted harder. "Dohyeon, did you pinch her?" he asked. "No" Dohyeon said. "See? Dohyeon is a good boy. If you want me to call you a good boy as well, then say sorry to her" he said. 

"Sowwy" Junha turned to her. "F'iends?" he asked, showing her his thumb. Jeongyeon smiled widely before bumping her thumb with his. "Good boy. Now play" Jungkook said and turned back to his friends. Jimin joined the table as well.

"Damn!! I didn't think you would be so strict, Kook" Namjoon said, smiling slightly. "Yeah, me too" Soobin said while Yeonjun and Kai nodded. 

Jungkook smiled awkwardly before rubbing his nape. "Tae spoils him a lot. So someone has to be strict if you don't want the kid to get rotten" he said. Everyone laughed out loud. "That's one way of putting it" Jin said. 

"I agree with him, though" Jimin said. "Yeah, he is the strict one in our house" Yoongi said, pointing to Jimin. "Dohyeon is normally very quiet. So we don't have to be so strict with him" Namjoon said. 

"Lucky bastards. You should see Junha at home" Taehyung said. Jungkook snorted. "We are gonna start the journey soon" Hoseok said, grinning widely at his wife. "Ohh yeah. How many months?" Jimin asked. "Seven" she grinned. "That's so great!!" Jimin and Kai exclaimed. 

"So what are your plans next?" Namjoon asked Yeonjun, Soobin and Kai. "I am getting married this August" Yeonjun said. "Ohh, congrats!!" everyone exclaimed. 

"Thanks. We didn't print the invitations yet, so I will send them later" he said. "Ohh, no problem" Yoongi said, grinning at him. 

Soon, people were back to talking to each other. Taehyung silently got up, excusing himself for the washroom and making eye contact with Jin. Jin excused himself as well and walked out. 

"So when is your work starting, hyung? I still can't believe you and Soobin are gonna work in the same company" Kai said. 

Jungkook chuckled. "I know, right?! I am so happy! It starts after two weeks" he said, grinning at Soobin. "What about yours? When doe-" he was cut off by a huge gasp from Yeonjun and Soobin. 

He looked at them and noticed them looking wide-eyed at something behind him. He turned back and felt his jaw drop to the floor. 

Taehyung smiled at him from his position. "Marry me?" he asked, tilting his head cutely and looking up at Jungkook with puppy eyes, batting them lightly. 

'HOLY FUCK' Jungkook's mind screamed. Unfortunately, that was the only thing his mind was doing. He couldn't think of anything else. 

He could see Taehyung's smile turn to a pout, but he didn't know what to do. "Jungkook?" Jimin called out, but he didn't reply. "JUNGKOOK!!" Jin yelled, earning the kids' attention, who ran to Taehyung to see why he was kneeling on a single knee on the floor of the restaurant with a tiny box in his hand. 

"Huh?" Jungkook asked. 

"You don't wanna marry me?" Taehyung asked, pouting slightly. This time, Yeonjun, Soobin and Kai got out of their trance and squealed, never expecting their hot, scary, intimidating Professor to be so cute. They were low key fanboying at the couple. 

"Huh?" Jungkook asked again. 

He hadn't blinked an eye since the second he saw Taehyung on his knee, and his eyes were slowly starting to tear up from staring too long. 

Or was that the only reason for his tears? 

"Marry me, bun" Taehyung pouted harder. 

"Huh?"Jungkook asked again. 

Junha came forward and pushed Taehyung's lower lip inside, making Yeonjun and Kai scream and curl their fingers tight. 

Jimin finally cackled before walking around the table and smacking Jungkook's head hard. 

"Huh?" Jungkook asked, coming back to his senses and finally blinking his eyes. 

"Marry me, Koo" Taehyung grinned widely, knowing why Jungkook reacted that way. "YES FUCKING YESSS" Jungkook yelled, pulling Taehyung up by his collar and kissing him harshly. Taehyung chuckled and pushed his tongue in, only to get smacked on his head by Jin. 

"The fuck?" he growled at him. "Kids" Jin said, pointing to the three monkeys standing right next to Taehyung's legs and looking up at him and Jungkook with heavy concentration on their faces. "Aish" Taehyung sighed and shooed them away before settling back on his seat. 

That month ended with them exchanging rings at the altar and whispering 'I do's to each other before bursting into tears.
