It's almost been a year now since Michael had found out that he had a brain tumor. He went through another surgery in early January, 2015, and two more rounds of chemotherapy. Ezra had decided to move to London with Fortune in February.

Michael lived at the house in Detroit with Mikey and Fitz. The younger kids continued to live with their mother through the school year. Natalie and Michael agreed that it wasn't healthy to move them constantly back and forth. He decided that he would spend the summers and holidays in Miami with them at his beach house. That way they didn't have to go the full summer without seeing their mother.

Michael was surprised at how well he and Natalie were getting along now. This wasn't normal. They used to fight over the littlest of things.

Michael hasn't contacted Mika since getting his memory back. He has seen Mika's family when they come to visit with Fortune and Ezra, but he has not seen Mika. It's not that he didn't want to. He just didn't want things to go back to how they were. Things were finally decent.

Mikey and Michael were out for a morning jog. When they arrived back at the house they noticed a rental car in their driveway. They weren't expecting anyone, so they had no idea who it could be. When they entered the house they saw Fortune and Ezra in the kitchen.

"Dad!" Ezra shouted in excitement as he ran up to hug his father.

"Hey! You didn't say that you guys were coming to visit," Michael said as he hugged Ezra and then Fortune.

"Yea, well this one decided at the last minute that he wanted to visit," Fortune said as he nudged Ezra.

Ezra rolled his eyes, "I swear I said something. You two just never listen," he said as he wondered into the living room.

"Thought you wanted to see me, not play video games?" Michael laughed at his son.

"I see you," Ezra said without taking his eyes off of the tv.

"Americans.." Fortune said rolling his eyes. "Michael I need to talk to you."

Michael nodded, "okay. Umm, just let me shower first," he said as he darted upstairs.

After Michael showered, he and Fortune went to the back porch to talk. "What's up?" Michael asked as he sat across from Fortune.

"Mika," Fortune said.

"Fort-" Michael started, but Fortune cut him off.

"Listen. Please?" Fortune asked. Michael nodded, "he's changed. He's been going to therapy every week. He hasn't missed a week since you left. He-"

"Fortune, I know about him and therapy. And it's not that I don't think that he's changed, it's how things were when we were together. He made things more complicated than they needed to be. I loved him. I still love him, but what he did...it's hard to just move on from that."

"Please, just give him a chance," Fortune begged. "Please. He's in Detroit."

"What? Does Ezra know this?" Michael asked in shock.

Fortune nodded, "yea, he does."

Michael didn't say anything.

"Please Michael."

Michael nodded, "I'll talk to him, but that's it."
