Dear Friend

Dear friend, I hope to you this message reaches,
The bird outside my window screeches,
In this little lonely room I sit,
All these tears, enough that to a king, they'd fit

I know this may come as a shock,
That my mind races fast as a ticking clock,
But I do so want you to realise,
What this world is like through my damned eyes

My vision is obstructed by this block of hate and paranoia,
But I don't really talk about it because I don't want to annoy ya,
People are all out to get me it seems,
And I can't even hope for my own dreams

Listen, I appreciate how much you care,
But please just go take a seat over there,
I love you, I need you, but I don't want you to get hurt,
So please, my dear friend, keep a safe distance apart

Don't know how much longer I can last,
A mix of everything bad, future, present, and the past,
And if I go, I hope you'll read this,
I love you, dear friend, and it's you I'll mostly miss
