"P Arthit when will you have time this month? I want you to meet my family. I think its time for you to know them as my boyfriend. I know you've met Dad but that is a different story. Please P Arthit?" This is probably the nth time that Kongpob opened the topic of Arthit meeting his family. But as usual Arthit kept silent with a blank face. Seeing Arthit's reaction, Kongpob hugged his boyfriend from behind and tried to assure him that his family will accept their relationship.
"Kong are you sure that they can accept our relationship?" asked Arthit "You know I'm quite contented with how things are between us and we are turning 7 years next month." "Phi that is precisely why i wanted you to meet them. So they would know who has been behind all the success I have achieved. Please think it over, there is going to be a family dinner next week. I want you to go there with me." Arthit kept his silence and went to bed to sleep. Kongpob no longer pushed the issue and also went to bed and hugged Arthit after saying their goodnights.
Kongpob's POV
P Arthit I want you to meet my family so that on our 7th year I can plan more for our future. I don't know what you are afraid of, I can protect you from anyone and will surely fight for our love. I wanted to share my plans with you but I can see in your eyes your scared. What's holding you back my love.
Arthit stired from his sleep and Kongpob worried he might wake him up also went to sleep, deciding that he will try to convince Arthit another day. He held his love closer to him, but not aware that Arthit was still awake. Looking intently at Kongpob's face.
Arthit's POV
Kong how will I explain to you, it not that i don't want to meet your family. I believe your family is great and I've met your dad. But I just want to let the 7 year itch pass. A lot of people break up on or after their 7th year. What if this thing with our families and me meeting them will cause our break up? I'm really scared and confused but I promised that I will trust you and our love. Kong just give me a little more time.
And slowly Arthit drifted of to sleep.....
