17. Dealing With The President

Aurora: "look, Lennox I coul-"

Lennox: "Don't say another word, the President and Director want to talk to you and me! I am pissed because I maybe losing my job!" I clenched my fists and held back my anger, I went over next to Lennox and sat down on a meeting table

Lennox: "I swear if I lose my job because of you I will-" I snapped my head to him clearly not gonna hold my tongue anymore

Aurora: "you'll what Lennox?! Shoot me?!" his anger was gone in a second replaced with regret

Lennox: "Aurora, i'm-"

Aurora: "don't say another word, don't talk to me" the doors opened revealing the new Director whom seemed nice and the President, they sat down. Both of which seemed understanding of the situation, Barack Obama 

Obama: "now, we'd like to know why three girls have arrived on NEST base after coming back through the Groundbridge" his tone was soft and gentle making me relax

Aurora: "well when me and Jazz went through the groundbridge I found out we were very far in the future, I met Maddy and I couldn't really hide who I was because of Rose. This is where it gets complicated Sir..." he leaned forward

Obama: "go on" I sighed

Aurora: "you see in her dimension we don't exist and we are just fanfiction and Rose made us in her book. You could say Rose is my creator so to speak but that complicates things. Getting off topic, anyway Maddy led me to Rose where we thought she could help us and she did hence we built a groundbridge together. Alex was a complete accident, Jazz was supposed to remain in his altmode and when Alex came into the warehouse where we were building the groundbridge that's when we had no choice but to bring her along. Alex was homeless where she came from, Rose was suffering with severe depression and Jazz was having spark pulls to her so he would always be with her. Maddy also had depression and being with the transformers was making her happy so of course I asked her to come with us. Sir..." I huffed and my got my breath back

Aurora: "I know having them here is a huge security risk and could get Lennox in trouble but they are great value to ending the Decepticons and even finding their weaknesses. They are a great asset to both Autobots and NEST base I promise you now sir it is for the better to keep them here" a long and intense silence was left, I kept my cool while Lennox looked like he was about to faint

Obama: "Alright, they can stay. Michelle, give Lennox the paperwork for them to remain on NEST base" he got up along with Michelle the new Director, Michelle handed him the paperwork

Obama: "Oh and Lennox?" Lennox gulped and I could see sweat forming on his forehead

Lennox: "yes sir?"

Obama: "you still have your job so stop worrying" I snickered and the President left along with Michelle

Lennox: "hey Aurora, i'm sorry for what I said"

I left after reassuring Lennox and went back to the Autobot hanger only to find Maddy and Ratchet arguing, Elita looked like she was enjoying the moment seeing Maddy hurt

Aurora: "Ratchet! Enough! You're upsetting the poor femme!" I made my way over to Maddy and wrapped my arm over her shoulder. A flash of regret was in his eyes, he huffed and stormed off

Maddy: "thanks"

Aurora: "What happened?" her shoulders slumped and her body deflated clearly down by the argument

Maddy: "I was trying to talk to him, get to know him better but he wasn't having any of it. I know what Ratchet is like and I only went up to him when he wasn't doing anything" I hummed and his file popped up, Dragonfly was his sparkmate but she was killed during the war and since then he's distanced himself hence why he was dubbed 'Wrenches of Doom'
