Sometimes I wish I was a vampire.

(Jacobs POV)

I had been out all day, keeping the perimeter clear from any invasion, Seth and Leah kept it tight right now so I decided to make my way to the house and see the two people who I am angry at, as I walked thought the door only one of them was in the room.

I could hear Bella’s heart ponding, I could also hear hash whispers echo though the house, just the one I wanted to hear the most “Where’s Sara?”

Esme popped her head into the room “she said she was going to town to stay with a friend, before I could asked she ran off”

What friend?

“She lied” I heard Edward say, even tho he wasn’t in the room “she went to go camping in the woods, near the stream”            

“Esme, would it be ok if Sara stayed here” I asked “I don’t want here wondering in the woods”

“Of course Jacob, I was actually going to offer you a room to” she smiled.

I tried to smile back, but how could I when the love of my life was dying right upstairs, so I left the house to find Sara.

She was easy to find I found her by early evening, “what do you think you’re doing?” I asked as I spotted her, she had her feet in the water with her pants rolled up to her knew and her sleeve to her elbows.

“Trying to catch fish” she said, looking at the water, she must have seen movement and she lunged forward into to river, and water went everywhere.

I quickly jumped in and caught her before she could slip and kill herself.

She was soaked, and clanged onto my warm body, and then she giggled.

“I... tried... to ... fish” she chocked between laughter.

A smiled crept up upon my face; I didn’t even realise until my cheeks started to hurt.

“Ok let’s go back to the Cullen’s” she suddenly said, my smiled drop as I realised what had happen and where we were.

(Sara’s POV)

We arrived at the house cold and hungry “the party has arrived” I said as I walked in, and Carlisle stood at the door to greet us, his face in a tight line.

“She’s family to you?” Jacob asked, I’m guessing he was just trying to fill the silence.

“Yes, Bella is already like a daughter to me” Carlisle agreed.

“But you’re going to let her die”

I stroked his arm for comfort, wondering where this conversation was going; there was quietness before he spoke up “I can’t ignore her will Jacob, it wouldn’t be right to make that choice for her, to force her”

I felt Jacob tense up under my hand from the words he was saying, I completely agree with Bella I wouldn’t give a baby up like that.

“Do you think she will make it?” he asked “I mean as I vampire, she told me about… Esme situation”

“I’ve seen vampire venom work miracles, but if her heart stops completely than there is nothing I can do”

I decided to ask a question “What’s the baby doing to her?”

“The fetus isn’t compatible with the body, it’s too strong. The bigger problem is it won’t let Bella get the sustenance that she needs, I can’t figure out what it wants.

I could tell what Jacob was thinking, that the baby needed blood, and he was exactly right.
