"Everybody, run!"
I pulled Azcé to help her run since she is still weak from earlier. My heart is pulsating throughout my body. I flinched when I heard a gunshot. Azcé stiffened and stumbled to the ground. Not checking whether my siblings are still there or not, I immediately helped Azcé stood up.
"Are you okay?" I asked. She just nodded. I swung her arms around my neck and placed my left arm around her waist to support her. I looked ahead and saw my siblings are nowhere to be found.
I mentally cursed at myself for not being attentive enough and lost in my own thoughts when Azcé abruptly looked behind us her senses heightened.
"We need to move fast." She said with urgency in her voice. We scanned our surroundings trying to look for a hiding place.
"There, Asha." She pointed to a forest like part of the place. We rushed there and hid behind a sturdy tree and crouched into a sitting position. We saw a bunch of guys with guns wearing some odd looking clothes. We held our breath, heart pounding rapidly against our chest as someone from their group approached our hiding place. He's wearing a mask and his eyes were electric blue. He was about to reach us when suddenly he jolted backwards and immediately left. Leaving with his group.
We let out an audible sigh when we made sure that they are out of our sight. I slumped back against the trunk and closed my eyes. I checked Azcé by my side and saw that she already fell asleep.
I breathe deeply as thoughts start swarming through my head. What's with them? Are they trying to kill us or something? My eyes widen in realization. The secret! It must have a connection to it! I must find out. No. WE must find out.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I saw something ahead of us or should I say someone.
I screamed in fright. I held my chest. I saw her flinched at my scream. Yes, it's a her. Pointy ears, long blonde hair, maybe around five flat in height, and barefooted.
"It's a nymph" Azcé said beside me. I whirled my head towards her direction.
"Oh." I said in realization. It might be a 'friend' of Exie. It walked towards us when it saw us calmed.
"Goddess' sisters?" It said. I nodded in answer.
"We're lost. Can you help us find them?" Azcé asked.
"Goddess' sisters.. friend. Help friends." It said with a smile.
I stood up and patted away the dirts from clothes and helped Azcé after so we can leave now. The nymph ahead of us, leading the way.
But the secret, it still remains at the back of my mind.
