October 29 - I don't think I can take this anymore. Number of sighting reports made by the police men (mostly Hindu) and some local women indicate that a tall and black figure emerges from the river at midnight. Around 9 feet tall with long hair that hides its face. It moves around faster than any animal and it cries "wai wai wai" constantly as it roams the streets on all fours. A local translator told the doctor that the creature lets out sighs of pain.
Unexpectedly the stray dogs in the streets have been a great help, they start barking immediately if they sight this creature. Almost like a warning system. The name the locals have given it 'Wai woph' is a combination of the sounds this wretched creature makes and the barking of the dogs at it. What irony!
We're stuck here it seems for all the winter as the snows haven't let up in the mountains. 5 more were lost, one of them a Pregnant woman; no body yet found. It reminds me of my Agnes, how I miss her, she warned me not to go here but I did not listen. And here this Journal might be the only way of informing her of my fate. I wish I could just dream of her again but I don't dream anymore, it's all nightmares now; for everyone.
Dr.Neil extracted a 6inch hardened nail from one of the bodies. The nail is human in its make but pure black and . . . .
I must go, seems they've found the woman.
