11 - Akaashi's party

The rest of the week flew by, and Saturday finally came around. I was nervous the whole week, but in a giddy, anticipating sense of the word; it had been an age since I'd been excited over something. I showered, shaved, then put on my outfit for the party, looking myself up and down in the mirror for a good fifteen minutes, deciding if I hated it or not, before moving on to my hair and make up.

Now, when you go to a house party, and you know you're going to get totally shit-faced (which I absolutely was) you need to be prepared, especially if you're a girl. House parties are completely different from clubs - you shouldn't really bring any sort of bag if it's a large party like this one unless you can leave it in someone's car, or else it'll almost certainly go 'missing', as there isn't a secure cloak room anywhere. All essentials should fit into your bra, hands, and pockets (if you have them) and these include: money for a taxi (and drugs, if you do them), a house key, your fully charged phone, and a hair tie - that's it. Money the key go in your bra (which is why you should wear one that fits well, unless you have jeans or a secure jacket with zip pockets you can use instead) and put your hair tie on your wrist or in your hair. Finally, if you don't have pockets, carry your phone in your hand the whole night or leave it with a trusted friend - NEVER SET IT DOWN AND WALK AWAY, AND THE SAME RULES APPLY TO YOUR DRINKS.

Make sure you're wearing comfortable clothes, if the dress code allows it, and a jacket is always a wise choice - you might want to go outside for a smoke or even a blowjob if the bedrooms are off limits, and it'll get cold. Additionally, if you're getting a taxi, you need something to wrap up while you wait. Speaking of taxis, stay on the phone with a friend whilst you're on your way home - there's perverts everywhere, and make sure they don't overcharge you, either.

I styled my hair, deciding to leave it open, did my party make up, and then headed downstairs to be greeted by Darcey.

As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I could hear Darcey on the phone to Iwaizumi.

"Oh yep, yeah she's here now - see you then - I love you too - shut up! Bye, bye... I SAID BYE! Hurry up, stupid," she laughed and hung up.

"You look hot," I told her.

"I know, right?" she responded, fixing her lip gloss in the mirror

"I know, right?" she responded, fixing her lip gloss in the mirror. "You look pretty hot, too," she added, eyeing me up and down through the mirror. "You ready to go?"

"Yeah, aren't you bringing a jacket?" I asked.

"I would, but it'd ruin my outfit. Besides, I have Iwaizumi to keep me warm," she added. I wondered what that was like, relying on and loving someone enough to know they'll be there to protect you. At that moment, we heard a honk coming from the driveway, signalling Iwaizumi's arrival. He drove a matte black Audi TT, and it always drew attention - I'm honestly glad he didn't drive us to school yesterday - the amount of stares we would have gotten would've killed me.

"Hey gorgeous," he said to Darcey as she sat in the passenger's seat, giving him a kiss.

"You smell good, Iwa-chan," she replied in a flirty voice. I sat in the back, trembling; the nerves had really gotten to me now.

"Hey, (Y/n)," Iwaizumi greeted, turning round and fist bumping me, "You both look amazing".

"We know," Darcey answered, kissing him again. "Let's go, I need some drinks and a blunt".

Iwaizumi turned the car around, and we set off to Akaashi's house. I stared out the window, half listening to their conversation and the music. He had his hand on her thigh, gripping it gently, twirling her body chain between his fingers every so often. They made me envious - I wanted what they had so badly, and it made me realise how alone I felt - watching them love one another was fascinating to me.

"Oi, (Y/n)," Darcey said as she turned her head around, snapping me out of my daze, "remember what you promised last night? No drugs, and if you're gonna drink just make sure I don't catch you - I don't want mum and dad calling me irresponsible. Got it?"

"Yes, I remember," I groaned, rolling my eyes, "stop treating me like an eleven year old, I'm only a year younger than you, you know".

"And yet I still have to take care of you like a baby," she retorted, facing the front again.

Iwaizumi and I made eye contact through the rear view mirror. He rolled his eyes and smirked at me, silently telling me to just ignore his girlfriend. I smiled, and leaned my head back, looking back out the window as they resumed conversation.

At 9:14pm, we pulled up outside a large white house surrounded by gates and hedges. Coloured lights were visible through the windows, and booming music could be heard from the top of the street. Iwaizumi parked in Akaashi's drive, and we saw some familiar people sitting on the grass, clearly already drunk. There were others, too, probably from neighbouring schools - the boys stared and whistled as we got out the car, obviously admiring Darcey.

"She's seventeen, you perverts, keep your dicks in your pants," Iwaizumi shouted at them, putting his arm around me and guiding me towards the door. They were whistling at me?

"You two have anything you want me to keep hold of? Neither of you brought jackets," he asked. I only had my phone, so I declined his offer.

"Oh no! I knew I forgot something!" Darcey exclaimed and stopped walking, wrapping her arms around her, "Ugh, I'm going to be so cold-"

Before she could finish her theatrics, Iwaizumi let go of me and wrapped his jacket around her shoulders, softly rolling his eyes at me and smiling as he did so, before kissing her on the forehead. "Better?" He asked.

"Mhmm," she nodded, placing a kiss on his lips. He knew exactly what she was doing, and loved her all the same. They were perfect for each other. We stepped onto the porch, and a guy who reeked of alcohol reached out to slap Darcey's ass. Before he managed to, she grabbed his arm, kicked him in the balls, and continued her strut inside, unphased. I quickly followed her through the door, desperate to find Oikawa and the others.

"Hey, you alright, buddy?" Iwaizumi calmly asked the guy, who was still cupping his crotch.

"Yeah, man," he straightened up, "what a fucking bitch-"

Before he could finish his insult, Iwaizumi punched him in the face, flooring him and knocking him out cold. He fixed his shirt collar and carried on inside, catching up to Darcey and kissing her hand. I looked around the main room, admiring the spacious house - nothing less to be expected from private school kids. Iwaizumi and Darcey both turned to me,

"Now, listen, we're getting a taxi home at around two in the morning, okay? So don't go wandering off," Darcey told me. I nodded and left, in search of my friends.
