Just like any other day, the morning started off with the steady, thrumming sound of the car's engine, as it glided between the morning traffic, speeding up as soon as there was a clearing. Just like most mornings he was making his way to yet another meeting, where he listened to people trying to suck up to him. Jungkook honestly didn't know how he survived the endless loop of sitting through meetings with men who thought of themselves as best of the best, when all it would take from him is to open his mouth and everyone around him would be on all fours with their tales between their legs. Whenever he had to listen to his father's men, he could just picture how the man had led them on, thinking that they were worth something. If Jungkook had the choice he would probably try and run this fucking empire on his own, but sadly even he didn't have that kind of power.
Jungkook lay back against the seat of the range rover, running his fingers over the surface of the door. The car was sturdy, elegant and most importantly not a fucking Mercedes. Jungkook couldn't stand how the pretentious dimwits tried to show off, by thinking their fucking cars were the best. Copying each other like monkeys and making a fool out of themselves. It seemed like every piece of shit owned a Mercedes these days, even though the car itself was just as shit as they were. But Jungkook had to admit that it was elegant. It had class to it, but that was all the redeeming qualitiess he could think of. Even so the fucking idiots didn't seem to get, that just because their car was formidable it didn't mean they were too.
Jungkook gazed to the side and looked at his secretary. The boy was staring outside the window, looking at the blurry scenery they passed, watching as the small frames of picture changed just a little bit as the car went on. The boy's leg was bouncing up and down in an unvarying rhythm, his hands were scrunched between his thighs and his lips twitched every now and again. Drops of sweat formed on his forehead and neck but he made no move to wipe it away. He was obviously nervous, though Jungkook couldn't really blame him, this was his first time at a meeting like this. The boy would accompany the man for slight visits on occasion, but he never actually attended one. He never needed to, as he was just a secretary. The boy only needed to tend to Jungkook's daily requests, organising schedules and rearranging appointments, but the man never needed him for more. Jungkook could still remember his first time, when his father had taken him to meet some high ranking dealers. How excited he had been, showing how competent and perfect he was for taking over the empire even as a child. But Jungkook was different from Jisung. The young man was never nervous, always focused and collected, while the secretary was visibly filled with fright and was on edge, not knowing what to expect. Jisung was a tender soul, making Jungkook almost feeling sorry for trying to corrupt him so bad. Thank god it was only almost.
Jungkook moved his hand and placed it on the boy's knee, a gesture he had done before. Jisung tore his eyes away from the window and with a startled expression looked at the older, his face soon morphing into something close to relaxed. Jungkook stroked his thigh, motioning an up and down movement. The boy's eyes were fixated on the elder's hands as if he was afraid to look up. To meet Jungkook's gaze, knowing what the man had implied with the indication.
"S-sir?" The boy's soothing voice cut through the sound of the engine, breaking the silence for the first time since they had set off this morning. Jisung managed to look up, into the man's fiery eyes, but as soon as he tried to speak again, words seemed to fail him from the man's piercing leer. Not wanting to piss the elder off, the boy tried to encourage himself to continue as he knew how much the man hated time lag. "Wha-what...khm... what is it that's going to happen at this meeting, Master Jeon?" Jungkook smiled at the boy and slowed down the strokes of his hand. Instead he drew circles, laying a calming effect on the younger.
"Today's meeting is very important." He looked down at the boy's lips and saw his tongue darting out to wet the dried lower line. Jungkook forced himself to look back up into the deep brown eyes of the boy, making sure he didn't show any of his thoughts on his face. Wearing a mask like usual. "I've been told that my grandfather is planning on overthrowing me."
