Chapter 6

At the Burrow the things were different. Harry and Ginny arrived there and, luckily for them, saw Ron and Astoria in the living.

"Ron, we need to talk."

"What's up, Gin?" Harry looked very angry so Ron though it was very bad.

"We went to see Hermione and guess what?"

"She hates me." Harry nodded.

"But there's something more... She is with..."

"For Merlin's sake Harry! Talk now." Ron was desperate.

"She is with Malfoy." Ginny finished. Ron was pale and Astoria spit out what she was drinking.

"Where does she live?"

"Ron, we can't-"

"Tell me now!!" Ginny and Harry looked at each other and sighed. They told him where she lived.

Bad mistake.

They didn't know what Ron was capable off.

Hermione and Draco were at a restaurant waiting their food. Two hours later, Draco insisted on go with her and she couldn't resist. As they got there, he saw the lights turned on in her department. "Herms, did you forget turning off the lights?"

"No, I didn't. Why?" She looked up.

"Let's go and take your wand off, Draco. We may need it." They went upstairs by the elevator and stood in front of the door. She opened it carefully with Draco behind her. They entered and gasped. Ron Weasley was standing there with an angry and disappointed face. Draco saw him and put Hermione behind him.

"If you came here to hurt her, you should leave."

Ron laughed "You are the one who should leave, Malfoy. I came to talk with her."

"Whatever you have to say, you can say it in front of all." Hermione couldn't deny that she was a bit scared but with Draco protecting her, she felt safe.

"Fine. Hermione you are a bloody traitor. I can't believe you're with him." Her eyes widened and pushed Draco away.

"What!? A traitor!? I can't believe it. You were the one who cheated on me and I am the traitor."

It hurt her.

"Well, you don't want to be a girl that Malfoy wants and then when he gets what he wants, he leaves you, do you?" She saw him directly at him eyes, with tears wanting to be out, but her pride didn't let her, not in front of him.

"How did you know were to find me?"

"Harry and Ginny told me. Oh! And... don't come to us if it happens. We told you. Bye Hermione." And Ron wasn't there anymore.

Draco wanted to kill him. Hermione thought about what Ron said 'what if he's just using me?' She turned around and saw him directly at his eyes "Tell me it's not true." She whispered but he heard her perfectly.

"You think I want to be with you only because I want something from you?" He laughed without humor, she noticed he was hurt and mad and it broke her heart.

"No, no, no, sorry. It's just-"

"No! I don't know why you think about me after everything I told you, you're the first person I've told it. You think my father tortured me a lot of times with the Cruciatus Curse is a lie too? You think I needed to become a Death Eater because I wanted and not to protect my mother and myself? You know... I think you're with me because of pity." He was crying but he wiped the tears away.

"I am really sorry, I thought-"

"I know what you thought and it hurt me. If you didn't want to be with me, you would have told me." He was really hurt and seeing her crying hurt him more.

"I'm so stupid. I don't know what I was thinking about, OK? When I saw him, I was really nervous and Ron put me more when he said that. I'm sorry." She looked at him and he shook his head.

"I... bye Hermione."

"No, please don't leave me. I'm sorry! I know I hurt you. What do you want me to think? You were known as Draco Malfoy, the Prince of Slytherin, you were with all the girls you wanted and then left them."

"Why did I come here? To have a new life, Hermione. Only to be Draco. You don't know how ashamed of my surname and myself I feel. You are the only one who saw how I've changed and now you're here, doubting about me and my feelings. I just..." He looked at her one more time "Bye" and then he apparated at his house. He started to break, hit and throw all the things with tears rolling down his face. He loved her, but it hurt him that Hermione didn't believe him.

On the other hand, Hermione broke down crying and screaming how stupid she was.

She was alone... again.

Harry and Ginny are mad with her. Draco must hate her. She allowed all the people she love go away.
