Chapter 9 (unedited)

Lilith shifted her face into the soft fur next to her as the sun poked through the windows, waking her up partly. Lupin shifted over slightly, growling as the sun hit his face. He sat up annoyed, "ugh... Why did you have to ruin the party..." Lupin asked the sun.  Lilith laughed at his comment, sounding half asleep. She opened her eyes partly as she smiled, nuzzling his fur.

"You're so soft and warm..." she said as she nuzzled him, purring.

"You are too but the stupid sun had to wake me up..." Lupin said glaring at the sun. The fox giggled at his actions and kissed his cheek. Lupin flopped face first into the bed falling asleep as his head hit the bed. The fox laughed and rolled her eyes, laying her head on him as she debated getting up or joining him in sleeping. Lilith yawned before making up her mind and getting up, carefully getting out of bed as not to wake the sleeping wolf. She slipped out of the room and headed to the kitchen to start making some breakfast for them both.

Lupin tossed and turned trying to get some more sleep. finally giving up, and dragging himself out bed and into the kitchen shirtless. "Hey lil. What's for breakfast?" Lupin asked suppressing a yawn.

"Pancakes," she replied calmly before looking at him. The young fox blushed darkly when she saw him shirtless, quickly returning her gaze to the food in an attempt to hide her darkening blush. Lupin chuckled lightly and turned her around and kissed her gently.

"I love you, Lilith..." Lupin said breaking the kiss. Lilith smiled at him as she continued blushing, quickly kissing him back.

"I love you too Lupin..." she said softly. Lupin smiled stupidity hugging her close. She laughed and pressed closer to him, nuzzling his chest gently.

"Well, I better let you go back to cooking." Lupin said before kissing her lovingly and walking off to set the table. She smiled at him happily before continuing to cook.  Lupin fished setting the table before saying

" I can make a nice deer dinner tonight." Lilith glanced at him and smiled.

"I'd think I would like that...." she said softly. Lupin smiled sitting down on a chair waiting for food. Lilith finished cooking and put some pancakes into the two plates, placing one in front of him before sitting down, putting syrup on the pancakes before she started eating. Lupin started eating taking huge bites of the pancakes.

Lupin got up after he finished and started on the dishes. "That was great Lilith." Lupin said smiling widely. She smiled at him, her ear laying back in embarrassment.

"Thanks.... You're the first to actually say that about my cooking." she said.

"Really? I think you could make a living out of cooking!" Lupin said with enthusiasm. She rolled her eyes.

"I think I much prefer my career as a thief." she replied as she finished and started helping him with the dishes. "So what should we do now?" Lupin said finishing the dishes. Lilith shrugged.

"Want to go outside maybe go for a swim? We are only about 3 miles away from a lake." Lilith shifted nervously, her ears laying back again.

"I-i... uh..." she said quietly.

"You can't swim can you..." Lupin said quietly. Lilith lowered her head and nodded.

"Well let's go change that, come on." Lupin said turning around grabbing his staff and started to walk out the door. Lilith rushed after him,

"But Lupin, your leg. You shouldn't be swimming for a few more weeks." she said worriedly. 

"I don't care I'm going swimming and you're going to learn how to swim." Lupin said continuing to walk towards the lake. She rushed in front of him.
