The next morning, Lilith awoke early to check on Lupin. She carefully opened the door and peeked inside, not wanting to wake the grey wolf up. Lupin stared up at the roof, bored out of his mind. "You might as well come in." Lupin said blandly. Lilith sighed and walked over to him, sitting down next to him. "Did you even get ANY sleep last night?" Lilith questioned him. "If you count one hour of nightmares and pain as sleep... Then yes. Otherwise, no." Lupin said bored. The fox frowned, sighed shaking her head. Lilith thought for a moment before looking at the wolf. "Would it help if I stayed in here while you sleep so I can wake you up if you have any nightmares?" she questioned, sounding a bit nervous as she did. "Worth a shot." Lupin said blandly. Lilith smiled. "You need anything? Or do you want to try sleeping again?" Lilith asked, glancing at his bandages after she did. "Well, let's start by having you set the bone and then bracing it... And warm soup might be good too." Lupin said. Lilith smiled at him and nodded. "Ok.... but I'll need you to tell me what to do with the bracing. I haven't done that before, so..." She laid her ears back in embarrassment after she spoke. "Go find two long straight sticks and then use bandages to tie them together around my leg once you set it." Lupin said softly.

Lilith nodded and left the cabin, quickly looking around the forest before returning with two straight sticks. "These good?" she asked, showing him the sticks. "They'll work." Lupin stated readying himself for the pain. Lilith walked over to him, holding the sticks in one hand and bandages in the other. "What next?" she asked as she looked at him. "You set the bone..." Lilith nodded and started setting the bone quickly, wanting to get it over with quickly so it wouldn't hurt so much. Lupin flinched a bit, holding back a string of cuss words as the pain shot through his leg. Lilith finished up on the brace quickly before looking at him, laying her ears back when she saw how tense he was. "I'll go make you some soup...." she said softly before walking into the kitchen and starting to cook some food for him.

Lupin sat up again, the pain fading into a dull throbbing. Lilith walked in with a cup of tea. "The soup won't be ready for a few hours. I made you some tea for the pain..." she said quietly, handing him the cup. Lupin sipped the tea before saying "You do realize that you're acting like a housewife right?..." said Lupin quietly. Lilith growled darkly before grabbing the tea from his hands, slapping him across the face harshly after she did. Lupin whimpered a little before shrinking back into the bed holding the side of his face. "I am NOT a housewife!!" She yelled at him, her fur puffed out and her ears laid back as her tail swayed side to side in furry. "NEVER call me that again you damn mutt! You hear me? NEVER!!" she spat. "I didn't call you a housewife... I was kinda enjoying a little company for once... Thanks for slapping me across the face, by the way, it really made my day." Lupin said quietly, his voice just above a whisper. Lilith relaxed a bit and sighed, setting the cup down before sitting down next to him. She held her head low as she spoke, her voice low and full of guilt, "sorry Lupin...." "it's fine... just please never do it again..." Lupin said still holding the side of his face. Lilith glanced at him sadly before grabbing the tea and handing it to him, getting up once he grabbed the cup. She started leaving the room, her tail dragging behind her a bit as she walked.

"Hey, Lilith... Can you stay in here for a bit... just until I fall asleep?" Lupin said, his voice quiet. Lilith stopped and looked back at him, sighing as she nodded slightly. "Sure, you overgrown pup..." she muttered quietly before returning and sitting down on the edge of the bed, her tail curling around her gently. Lupin laid back shutting his eyes. 'When did she start caring? Is it real affection I'm getting from her? Or is she toying with me... and if it is real... what am I going to do with it... my line of work is no place for a lady... but she's not a typical lady... she's a thief but she's helping me. I'd be dead right now without her... I would of die under the tree and I wouldn't of been able to prevent it...' Lupin pondered to himself as he tried to sleep.

~His Dream~

Lupin slowly fell asleep falling into a dream, 'well this should be good...' Lupin thought. "Hello Lupin." said Lilith, who was wearing a light blue silk dress. 'This is odd...' Lupin thought before his body replied to Lilith. "Hello my dear Lilith." Lupins body said as he pulled her small frame into a tight hug, kissing her lightly. 'Okay... this is really odd... She doesn't even like me and she'd never wear a dress...' "how have you been my dear? I made supper while you were out." Lilith said, pulling away from the kiss briefly. 'Okay what is happening...' Lupin thought as his body laughed and hugged the young vixen tighter. "You must be the only person in the world that can handle my antics..." Lupins body said. Lilith just laughed and spun herself around in his arms leaning back against him. Lupin sat down pulling Lilith down onto his lap. Lilith leaned back resting her head on his shoulder. "Hey, Lupin?" Lilith asked quietly. "Yes, Lilith?" Lupin replied. "Do... Do.... you love me?" Lilith asked shyly. Lupin blinked, shocked then smiled. "Yes, Lilith... I love you more than I could ever hope to describe..." Lupin's body said sweetly. 'Where did this come from...' Lupin thought. Lilith giggled tilting her head back, letting Lupin kiss her.

Lupin awoke, feeling a small warm mass curled up against him. Lilith shifted closer to him as she slept, her head laying on his chest as one arm was draped over him gently. 'Well this is reminiscent ... and a little scary...' Lupin thought as he held still, as not to wake her. Lilith shifted slightly, her arm pulling her closer to him as her head moved closer to his. 'ruh-roh...' Lupin thought blushing at the closeness of the fox. She purred softly as she slept, smiling a bit. Lilith muttered quietly in her sleep, barely audible, "....mine..." Lupin blushed a deeper crimson when he heard her. Lilith shifted again, her head moving right under his as she started waking up. 'Okay, Lupin... just hold still and hope she doesn't slap you again...' Lupin thought barely breathing. Lilith opened her eyes slightly, looking a bit confused about why the soft fluffy 'pillow' was warm and breathing. "H-hey... lilith..." Lupin said quietly.
