Chapter 16 Chaotic Malfunction

Kai's Pov (Show)

My heart nearly stopped at the sudden change in our situation. Zane raced for us with his eyes glowing blood red. He held up his hand and fired a blast of ice our way. I kicked up my legs and nearly missed the blowing ice shards that brushed past my hair. I hit the ground hard as I tumbled back onto my feet. I took in a breath as I tried to process that this was actually happening.

"Zane! Stop!" I shouted at him as I dodged a quick punch from him. His copy was firing ice in all different directions, not caring where it landed, as long as it hit any of us.

"This is insane, it's like they lost their minds!" My copy exclaimed as he shoved Cole's copy out of the way of an ice blast. I watched all the chaos around me unfold until I heard my sister.

"Kai! Look out!" My sister shouted in alarm. I turned in her direction, but all I manage to see was the sudden ice coming right for me. There was no time to dodge.

"Crud...," I muttered before cold air consumed me.

Nya's Pov (show)

My blood ran cold once I saw Kai get hit by Zane's ice. A snow cloud consumed him and he was soon trapped in a block of ice.

"Kai!" I nearly screamed. I wanted to run towards him, but my eyes spotted something else. I noticed that red head girl was still here. She looked alittle stunned by something; I couldn't care less. Anger flared up inside me as I charged towards her. Water consumed my hands, before I blasted water her way. She noticed me at the last second and sped off back towards the direction her group went.

"Get back here and fight us!" I exclaimed in a furious tone. She didn't stop, but I ended up halting. Something had grabbed hold of my leg. I turned around to see that it was Zane's copy. His eyes were pure red as he tightened his grip on my ankle. I winced, before I blasted water at his face which caused him to fall backwards. I stumbled to my feet and prepared myself to fight him until I noticed Kai's copy from behind. My pupils shrank, when I saw him trying to dodge Zane's ice. He managed to get away, but he ended up losing his balance by the ledge and started falling off the roof.

"Kai!" I heard a few people say. I narrowed my eyes as rushed past Zane's copy.

'I'm not loosing anyone else today,' I thought, before I jumped off the roof myself. I threw on my mask and went straight for Kai's copy.

"Grab my hand!" I shouted at him as I held out my hand. He looked panicked, but he did what I said. He reached for my hand and soon grabbed it. I pulled him up towards me and I then did Airjitzu. We landed safely on the ground and took a quick breath.

"Thanks for the save," He said and I smiled.

"No problem," I replied.

"Kai!" I heard from above. Him and I looked up to see it was my copy who was rightfully frightened.

"I'm okay, sis!" Kai's copy replied.

Nya's Pov (movie)

I inhaled slowly once I knew Kai was okay, but that relief was short lived. Zane soon came up from behind and fired more ice.

"Zane! Snap out of it!" I shouted at him. He didn't even respond. It was if it wasn't even him anymore.

"We need to get off this roof!" I heard Lloyd explain, before he got punched by Zane's copy. I soon got shoved by Zane and was nearly thrown to the completely other side of the roof. I stood up and coughed up dust. I then growled under my breath.

"That's it... now I'm angry!" I spoke in frustration. I was about to charge, but something caught my eye. I looked over to see a bright light was coming off the frozen ninja. The light seemed to melt the ice around Kai's copy's fists. I ended up covering my eyes from the light until a cloud of mist filled the area.
